Oni Camber [to the fullest]

Update: As hard as it is for us Americans to accept this style, we need to realize that “Oni Camber/Demon Camber” isn’t something that’s supposed to be “safe & functional”, but it’s rather done for fun and attention. It’s as simple as that. Oh, and we forgot to tell you that this Cima is sitting on one-off coilovers, not airbags as most of you thought. Stick around for more of it, very soon.

Mr. Kazuki out of Japan just emailed us a few older pictures of his Nissan Cima F50 that’ll make the camber on your ride look like a joke. This dude is rocking -21 and -27 camber, and as much as you want to think this is “strictly” a show car, you’re damn wrong. While it may not be Kazukis daily driver, he makes sure that he rolls hard to every event that he attends whether its 5 minutes from his place or 5 hours. We’ll have more on this car and possibly a full blown photoshoot in the very near future as the weather gets warmer in the lovely Japan, but for now we’ll leave you with a couple of pictures to scratch your head to. It’s certainly not everyone’s thing, but most of these guys do it for fun and attention.

I agree why...just makes it impossible to steer. Looks terrible too. Yes we know they're pushing the limits but the suspension components were not engineered for that excess force in left and right direction statically Just sayin lol thats simple engineering being tested

how many times do you change your tires a week?, and yes, Why...

What do you mean why? Everyone has their own opinion! You'd be lying if you didn't say it's a neck breaking trend. I give props even being functional.

Why are you commenting? He is just doing his thing and pushing limits. It's not for everyone.

im sick of reading these 'why' and 'that looks stupid' comments everytime s:n posts something that has oni camber. ITS STANCE NATION PEOPLE!! its all about the STANCE. and as the motto states, form over function. so who cares if its not that drivable or if they go through a set of tires each month. its the fact that they have an extreme stance and they love it

There is no need for an update stance:nation, this is the ULTIMATE stance and its in the fukin title form>function. people saying this is stupid, ARE STUPID and if your gonna have a slammed car might as well make it look like god came down and smashed it to the pavement
  21. Randal February 16, 2011 at 10:36 PM Reply
I don't think I'd build a car with that much camber in the front, but it looks like one hell of a ride and would like to test drive a car with oni camber on all four corners. Looks challenging to drive!!
  22. mintkendishin February 17, 2011 at 1:22 AM Reply
@chris......thats not STANCE............thats just stupid dont even look good stance is all about enhancing the aesthetics of ur car...this just looks stupid and theres no point
  23. Bryan February 17, 2011 at 6:46 AM Reply
Somebody needs to invent some way to make the camber adjustable on the fly. That way you can have more practical camber when driving, then go full retard when needing to stance.

Thats stupid, I'm sorry. That cannot be safe at all, nor does it look good.
  26. jon February 17, 2011 at 10:27 AM Reply
If you put it out there expect criticism both good and bad. I for one think its redonkulous looking.
  27. bahc February 17, 2011 at 2:42 PM Reply
whats funny is how the majority of people who say oni camber is stupid and not functional and doesnt aesthetically improve the car are the same who get irritated when someone tells them their dumped and -3 camber semi flush cars are stupid not functional and an aesthetic failure.
  28. gat February 17, 2011 at 4:35 PM Reply
Nasty. And not in a good way.

Wow, can't believe how dense all you haters are...you'll just find ANYTHING to flame if you get the chance, won't you? I think it's a bad play on your intelligence when S:N has to type an update, and then BOLD the last sentence in a post just so you get it. "BUT MOST OF THESE GUYS DO IT FOR FUN AND ATTENTION" means "SHUT UP AND MOVE ON TO THE NEXT POST IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT." Everyone's entitled to their opinion. But even if we like something on S:N we don't write a book on how much we like it, just a few words. So I don't see what's so hard about saying you don't like it in just a few words, either. As if we didn't already understand that you don't like oni camber. I don't see why you're so worried about it getting to the states, it never will. US police forces will have a field day and the roads here are like an ATV course compared to the actual tarmac they have in Japan, so shut up already we get it, you don't like oni camber. Cool. just say that then and nothing more, and stop trying to make this a biased website, cause it's not gonna happen. You don't own the domain name. NOW to start my actual comment: I personally would try it if I could cause it may not be practical but it looks interesting. It would be cool just to own ONE car with Oni camber :)

I like that Oni Camber Mazda 929 that was posted a little bit ago. Flush wheel fitment + Oni = Win. Tucking..... I'm not the biggest fan and yes, it's probably unsafe to drive faster than 30 mph with 2 inches of tire contact patch... might as well be riding on bicycle tires at that point. Either way, big props for pushing boundaries!! ^__^
  33. mtn_dub February 21, 2011 at 9:23 PM Reply
diggin the wheels and the car, just not the camber
  34. TougeSC3 February 27, 2011 at 1:46 PM Reply
Not really diggin' it. But it does push the boundary. It's a love hate thing.
