We have yet another blend of Royal Origin x LowBallers for you today. This time around we’ll take you to Southern California with us to take a closer look at Jimmy Lieu’s royal & baller Honda Civic. (Oh yes we did!) What Jimmy doesn’t know is that we’ve had our eyes on his car for months now! In fact, it’s been over 4 months since our friend Miguel first tipped us off about Jimmy’s Civic. What’s pretty crazy is that just about 9 months ago this Civic was stolen and stripped, but with the help and encouragement of his friends it has come very far. It’s always an honor to show off rides that come from the Royal Origin and LowBallers guys, so let’s take a closer look shall we?

As we mentioned above, September of 2010 Jimmy had his Civic stolen and stripped. His first purchase afterwords were his wheels. Volk TE37 SuperLaps in 17×9 all around with (+12) offset in the front and (+22) offset in the rear. He wrapped them in a set of 205/40/17 tires and dropped the car on Buddy Club N+ coilovers with Buddy Club camber arms. As you can see, this is a pretty serious drop that is definitely not for the faint of heart! Reffer to the photo below please.

Up next came the 09+ front end conversion and all the exterior stuff. HPF front lip and side skirts were mounted on, which we absolutely love on these cars. In the rear, J’s Racing replica diffuser sets the car off and gives it just what it needed. As if the car wasn’t low enough, Jimmy decided to get himself a V-limited front splitter from an STI for that extremely low look! (we blame Royal Origin and LowBallers haha!) It looks to be in good condition somehow, especially for being his daily driver. Not sure how he does it but it’s earned our respect! Hit the Read More button link for more on this Civic.

So far most of the interior was left stock other then the DC5R Recaro seats and some I.C.E. Let’s not forget that this build is still pretty fresh at just about 9 months. Of course, if you are part of Royal Origin it’s only right for you to rock one of their windshield decals, so Jimmy rocks one proudly!

Keep in mind that most of the guys in this “aggressive fitment” scene spend most of their time and money on getting those wheels to sit as close as possible to fenders and underbodys to the ground, instead of under hood mods. Jimmy did throw in a few things though just to get some more “oomph” when needed. Things such as a CAI, Ralco RZ Crank/Water/Alternator pulleys, P2R Throttlebody spacer and lastly Tanabe cutback exhaust just to name a few.

With that said, we’ll wrap this feature up with a a couple shout outs. First and foremost, our awesome photographer Jeff Payuan for making all of this possible. Second and obviously just as important, Jimmy himself for giving us the opportunity to show off one of our favorite FG’s out there. Lastly, Jimmy wanted to say this: “If possible can you give a shout out to my girlfriend, Minh, David, Nimo, Royal Origin, and LowBallers, and everyone else who contributed to my build.” Until next time, we hope this Civic made your day, because it sure made ours. Up next we’ll have a coverage of an event with lots of Euros!
