So this was another car that stuck out from our recent MIVW photo coverage and thankfully our photographer Ronald happened to have a few more shots of it laying around. How about a quick little spotlight, what do you say? It’s a 1968 Volkwagen Karmann Ghia Type 14. You may have seen a few slammed Ghias before, but not too many lay their whole body on the ground. The owner raised the fuel tank, pan & tranny along with raising and shortening the chassis head. He is also got a 8″ narowed air beam with raised steering house, shortened steer column, lowered seats and modfied wheel wells front and rear just to name a few. Those wheels? They’re classic 17×7.5 Porsche Fuchs. The car may not be for everyone, but we find it pretty damn cool. Drop a comment below and let us know what you think. That is a lot to take in, honestly there are things I really dislike but look at it! it’s more than the sum of it’s parts. Rad.
Air-cooled all the way. A lot of work to get it to lay frame like that. Not sure about the rear toe angle but other than that, yes.

dooppppppppppe!!!!! i saw one like this at this past SoWo in Hellin Ga same color on similar wheels but they were 17″ randars. it had a lil less rust no rear deck lid and a super clean engine compartment but this is better it looks more broken which is probly what he was going for…. needs a porsche 914 engin!

Car has major potential. I doubt he is finished with it, seeing as how much effort he put into making it drivable with the shorter steering column and etc. Not just a simple slammed ride, that’s gonna be sweet to see later on.
