Chances are that most of you out there have heard of Imola Motorsports and probably even seen a couple of the cars they’re built. One particular car that stood out to us is this stunning Porsche 997 Turbo. It’s got that “aggressive stance” going for it but what’s even more impressive is seeing it fly down the track at 150+ mph! Just a couple days after John shot these photos, the Imola Mortorsports crew took a trip from Golden Valley, Minnesota (where their shop is located) out to Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin to race in the Chicago PCA at Road America. There is nothing better than having a car that sits just right and at the same time also have the ability to be drive hard! An example sits right in front of you.

So just what does this thing have under that hood? For starters, an Evolution Motorsports EVT775 Performance Kit (EvoMS Headers, Intercoolers, VTG Turbos, Ignition System, Throttle Body and then some) which pushes anywhere from 750-780 HP and costs about the same price as most of ours cars. They also added a Fabspeed Straight Pipe Exhaust (with Cats) and a few other smaller things to finish everything off. In the cabin you’ll find things like RSS Roll/Harness Bar & Recaro Pole Position leather seats with 6-point harnesses. We then come to that beautiful exterior and the aggressive fitment!

It’s sitting on Bilstein PSS10 Coilovers and 20×8.5 and 20×10 DPE S20 Wheels while not on the track. Come track time, the guys swap out an even more aggressive setup, Fikse Profil 10s in 19×9 and 19×11.5 with Hoosier slicks! On the outside it features a full Vorsteiner Carbon Body Kit that’s complimented by a set of Rottec 997.2 LED Tail lights. Big shout out to Imola Motorsports and John for sharing this beast of a car with us and we wish you guys the best of luck with everything! I'm sorry but form≠function. This car has way too many decals to be pretty. I don't understand everyone's need to plaster their marketing all over their track cars. I guess it makes sense since no one knows of Imola Motorsports until they see it on this porsche but why ruin such a great car!? I'll never understand so many decals.

Saw this car on facebook today, had a friend sitting in it, wasn't sure what the hell was so special about it, and DAMN, now I know. Function=Form in this case. To Josh Auger do you know how motorsports sponsorships work? People pay you to promote their company by putting logos on your vehicle, most pay more if you win something. It's so funny to read "why do they plaster their marketing on their track car!" Because some people wouldn't even be able to afford a track car without the sponsorships. Oh well.

I understand how it works but it's disappointing to ruin something so nice with so many bad stickers. The stickers tend to stand out more than the car! I like watching people go around in the Ferrari 599XX, those people are paying to race cars and paying Ferrari to race them they don't have any extra stickers, no decals, etc. That's a beautiful car with Form=Function. This car is much more of a Function>Form.

@Joshua Auger your comparing a car company like Ferrari to a local garage. Did you eat paint chips as a child?! This place is top notch, I get all my car work done there. Its not your car so don't make comments about how it looks. When you own one, you can talk about how stickers make cars look bad. Educate yourself, then you would understand a little more.
