Every once in a while we’ll run into a car enthusiast that likes to go the extra mile. Not to outdo anyone per-se but to challenge himself and at the same time do something he/she enjoy doing. Today that someone is Kyle Lauritano out of Florida with his Subaru. It’s an ongoing project car to him as he has quite a few more plans for it in the future but we figured we should show it off anyway since it looks great as is. There is not much that can be done to a Subaru (or any other car really) that hasn’t been done before, though that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it. Kyle obviously felt the same way about doing whatever you want to your car so he chose to convert his to a rear wheel drive. Why? To have fun and do what he truly enjoys. You’ll see what that is on the bottom of this feature (if it isn’t obvious enough).

Photos By: Daniel Vicente exclusively for StanceNation.com

So this is how the car sits at the moment. Fitted with a beautiful set of Enkei RPF1′s in 18×9.5 with 0 offset and 225/40/18 tires up front, and 19×9.5 with 0 offset and 235/35/19 tires in the rear. It’s far beyond wheels/suspension & a few aero pieces for Kyle, literally every bushing & link was upgraded. His short term plans include rear aprons and DSS axles so he can start doing events again without having to replace and axle every other run. Also, the rear end will be treated to a nice diffuser and some other aero bits here and there. Kyle tells us that the main focus for him right now is to get some seat time and feel the car out. As you can tell by the tire tread below, this bad boy likes to go sideways!

With that said, please make sure you click the Read More link below to check out more photos of this thing. We included some sideways photos as well on the bottom that you’ll love. Big shout out to Kyle for doing something a bit different and huge thanks to our friend Daniel for the great photos.

The 19's in the rear are horrendous. 18's all around and will be money!

Wheels too big in rear, offsets wrong. Wheels can easily kill a great looking car... but if this guy likes what he accomplished then that's all that counts and my opinion shouldn't.

He got the car in a trade for his s14 so there was no bugeye/hawkeye debate. And just so you cats know, the dude drives the hell outta this car on stock turbo so suck off.

Why would you go to all that effort to first of all remove, and then dismantle the centre diff/gearbox just to weld it..?, its gonna break rather sooner than later, a wiser choice would've been to visit mr Cusco, for one of his specials, and do the job properly... RUFF....not TUFF....!

Dude I welded that diff, Its not breaking. Maybe the output shaft, diff, and axles....
