It’s been a few months since we had a proper EK9 on StanceNation and we couldn’t think of a better one to show you than Maru’s out of the wonderful country of Japan. We’ve always had a thing for this awesome Type R after first seeing photos of it in our K-Day photo coverage a few months back and finally our photographer Shota-San was able to get some proper photos of it. Unfortunately due to language barrier we haven’t been able to get as much about the car and owner but we do have tons of photos for you.

Yesterday on our Facebook we asked whether any of you could name the wheels that this hatch is rocking but we never got a correct answer. That’s because they don’t have a name. Apparently when Maru bought them on Yahoo Auctions Japan he was told that they are the only set ever made. Regardless, they are 16×8 with 10 offset up front and 16×9 with 17 offset in the rear. Maru wrapped them up in 165/50R16 tire in the front and 195/45R16 tire in the rear. It also sits static on some Zero Fighter coilovers along with custom front and rear camber arms.

Big ups to Maru for sharing his awesome Type R EK9 with us and of course even a bigger shout out to Shota-San for going out of his way to shoot Maru’s car for us.
