I hate to say it, but as an writer for StanceNation, I am exposed to a myriad of cars. After a while, things can begin look repetitive. Although there is plenty of trendsetting and new things coming out all the time, when you live and breathe all things automotive, it can easily become stale as new innovations take time to come out. However, as I was drowning amidst all the conventional cars that regularly blow our minds I was taken aback by this beauty sitting in my inbox. Even managing to fool my inexperienced eye, I had feeling it was something different, even though the rear end brought memories of things fairly reminiscent. I was neatly refreshed upon seeing the front end, and immediately, a newfound respect was born. Tarek Elshayeb, I am proud to say that you have redefined the game for me with this astounding Nissan Altima Coupe.

Now Tarek is no beginner to the Altima game. This wasn’t a “I’m-going-to-buy-an-unconventional-car-and-build-it-for-scene-points” kind of affair. Rather, Tarek had owned a previous Altima, losing it in a tragic accident where it was ultimately declared a total loss. However, it wasn’t total in my opinion, for a flame was kindled in Tarek’s heart that catalyzed him to build this car we see before us. Owning this car for three years, Tarek took it to a new level and built him a sporty daily driver that many of us within the car scene are not completely used to. It definitely sits in a class of its own.

This build, like many others, was not free from its own problems. With a name for the apocalyptic time, dubbed the “widebody days”. Calling on Rotiform for a very aggressive set up, Tarek tells us the TMB’s were sticking 2.5″ and 5″ past the front and rear fenders, respectively. However, along with maintaining OEM looking lines, the guys at AMS Autowerks helped aid in fitting those aggressive wheels underneath the neatly shaped fenders.

To pull off such fitment is no simple feat. Especially for an Altima, the aftermarket options are not as humongous as other vehicles like the s-chassis. Being as limited, pursuing such modifications can be daunting. However, that was not a deterrent for Tarek. To aid the car in getting down, Tarek relies on the astounding Accuair I-level management system, a wireless controller that allows Tarek to raise and lower his Airtekk Air struts at the touch of a button. SPC camber arms allow him to run a healthy dose of negative camber to help fit those TMB’s under the full metal widebody.

This car also has a multiple aero pieces that help differentiate it from your everyday Altima. One of my favorite things about this car is that many of the pieces are molded, giving it the smooth flowing look that brings this car to a whole other level of modification. The front is treated to a set of retrofitted headlights and a custom front bumper. The rear, which is my absolute favorite, has a AIT Racing Carbon Fiber Trunk complimented with a beautiful Top Secret rear diffuser.

Tarek tells us that he has a big modification in store. Whether it will be a RWD conversion or possible motor swap, he likes to keep us guessing. However, one thing that we know for sure is that he will not disappoint as he has managed to establish a name for Altimas and set the bar for any future competition. Tarek Elshayeb, you and your Altima are truly in a class of your own. Without hearing anymore from me, please take the time to enjoy these wonderful shots by our very own Chris Petruccio, or Krispy as you all know him as.

Just kidding. One last thing! The trunk and interior are treated to a tasteful amount of modifications. The trunk being lined with wood paneling, having a trunk set up is a norm in the degree of modification for the cars featured here on Stance:Nation, and Tarek does not disappoint. With hidden hardlines and compressors, the trunk looks very tidy. Enjoy!
