Ok, this is an awesome build mate and props for doing most of the work yourself. I am sure u know this is an Aussie car because u have the Aussie Holden lion on the boot(trunk) but why did u put a euro Vauxhall badge on it and not a Aussie Holden badge?

these cars are built by holden aus, and either sent to arrowhead international in sidney to be outfitted with pontiac bumpers and other parts, or sent to theuk and tagged as a vauxhall cv8z.

Since the majority of gto rednecks that convert these, switch to the holden stuff, i decided to get the vauxhall stuff instead. Its much more rare and hard to find. Some of the pictures are old and along the buildup. The car had the lions on it originally but has since been switched to the vauxhall griffens. The ornaments took me 6 solid months of searching to find the right ones. Im active on quite a few uk forums, and this car is actually setup to be shot for a major feature in Total Vauxhall magazine as soon as its finished. Im going more for the uk LM spec look

next project. designing adapter brackets so i can offset the caliper correctly and adapt Alcon brakes off a gt series cup porsche onto the gto hubs. may have to build some sort of different offset on the rotor hats also.

got the seat bracket. its literally so fucking hot outside im about to start singing swing low sweet chariots though. fucking slave ship status. may wait till late night blunt:30 and do it then when its cooler and i have more patience tonight.

I got the first test piece out from the wire edm today. Synopsis:gto forum rednecks are 100% worthless. Gave me the wrong spline count and were 20 thousandths too big. I guess their tools run in par with their tire suggestions. They think every 265 tire sucks because they clearly buy shitty cheap tires, and they now obviously have jc whitney dial calipers as well. hahaha.. We re-spec'd the hub out and took all our own measurements. Believe it or not, the stock steering wheel is even junkass fit. Its clearly obvious the holden oem wheel is taken off and pontiACNE puts their turd wheel on there that has like 15 thousandths of slop in it. With the gto-ites measurements though, the splines did not even hold it in there, it was WAY out of spec.

im going to touch up the side brackets and move the seat lower, its skyjacker status right now. Then getting black bolts for it so it looks cleaner on the sides, this is just to get it in there so i can adjust where i want it..

These are the only urethane sides i can find. Everything else is fiberglass. The car sits WAY too low for fiberglass. It will get broken and focked up. The plan is to use these cause they sit lower and allow me room to route side exit exhaust. The car already burps and gargles flames out on deaccel under the rear end via the turndowns. With them out the side, when i back off the gas it will crack and pop flames, which is self explanitory boner material. Since the sides drag sometimes, im contemplating tieing the whole monochrome tone deal in from my wheels into the sides. The bodyline on the sides i will mask off and make half the skirt unpainted satin black bare urethane perhaps with sem trim black paint so the satin color is correct. The top portion towards the front will remain gloss black to match the car. Heres a rainman rendering since this pc is turd and entirely too slow to boot up photoshop and do it right. Ignore my rivets haha, its just to give you an idea.



Im contemplating the Rhys Millen wide fenders also, if i get those i will do the same thing with the satin black and the gloss black. Satin black in the vented sections and the rest of the fender gloss black.

still waiting on my outer front barrels from ccw. They should be in next week. As soon as they arrive, i take them to work and sandblast them, then they get dropped off at powder coater. The steering wheel hub is in process of edm and it will be then ready for test fit, then off to the powder coater as well for satin black coating.

I managed to get my hands on a set of BFG G force R1 r compounds.
going with a 245 40 18 front on my 18x9s.
275 35 18 rears on my 18x11s

prolly need to raise it up a little. And i may need to install the camber adjustable bushings in the rear to gain a half a degree or so to fit the 275s on. If not, i will raise it up to make it work.

Next item im looking into is a swaybar set and a close ratio steering rack. Besides that the next item I am looking to build is a shifter. I want to take the gmm austraillian race shifter i have, and spec one out similar, however i want to make the lever come up about 1 foot taller and sit next to the steering wheel. In order to do this i will need to design the lower portion that goes into the transmission much longer to prevent the throw from being so large, and at the same time, make the assembly out of something durable with shift stops to prevent breaking components in the trans due to added leverage from the lever itself. Its just pretty sketchy having to move my hand all the way down to the console to shift, and i am trying to set this car up like a real race car, not some redneck muscle car crap. Having the shifter position up where my hand is will only improve the drivability of the car. The seat has done wonders for this, now i want to get the wheel and a spacer in and really start blasting turns.

Started doing a bunch of shit to the house this week too, so my time is limited for the projects currently. I am wanting to finish up the steering wheel and the diffuser ASAP though, just waiting on some friends. The wheels are killing me also, i need my fucking wheels back on the car. However at the same time, driving on the roads around here is like in ace ventura when jim carrey is bouncing around in the land rover. The roads suck balls. Its like driving on a bmx track, so im not too concerned that i have not broken my wheels in half yet driving on this junk. They spend all the road fixit money on sidewalks and retaining walls.

Does anyone have any experience with getting sponsored by a tire manufacturer?

Im trying to see if i can get a discount rate on some tires now. This dickface i was going to get these r compounds from is trying to tax me and theres only like 1-2/32nds of tread left on them..

I really want to get a set of falken RT 615k's for this. Im not a professional drifter or any of that shit, but my car will be in MULTIPLE UK magazines, be competing at speed week in bonneville next year more than likely, going to maxton mile and competing this year sometime hopefully, and countless other shows if i can get an events list someplace.

Any direction or information is appreciated. I know all kinds of people want to get cars sponsored, i just figured since i am more or less the only one of these cars like this in the world ive seen, and im spending TONS of money here, i could get a break somehow. This shits getting pretty absurd as far as costs.

With the help of a close friend and millions of dollars of machines at his disposal(cnc's of every nature, wire edm, lathes, water jets, anything you could possibly think of), with the use of my specs and measurements, here is the steering wheel hub outcome....

All thats left in the interior is to install my willans F1 5 point 3 inch cam-lock belts, install a custom chromolly tig welded in cage that will be black of course(only a 6 point: halo w/ harness bar, rear bars through the side panels, and front bars that run along the door down to the kick panels), and build a long arm road race short shifter adapter that sets the knob next to the steering wheel. Besides that the interior is DONE. Possibly will have the passenger seat section with GTO embroidered removed in favor of a CV8z embroidered section..

I bought a Harrop rear differential brace and some 300m forged inner 28 spline axle stubs. (my stock diff was starting to leak from the abuse, think this brace should fix the issues).. Cant make the diffuser till i have this brace to build around, so once its on, ill start back on that.



Waiting back from spintech mufflers to hear if they are willing to send me free mufflers and sponsor the car, who knows. was worth a try either way.

More to come.. shits starting to come along FINALLY.

that made me feel good. I was just thinking this morning, man this shit is not progressing fast. This progress should elaborate on how long it takes to get parts for this car.. Really annoying.

Ive got tracking numbers for my wheels, and my friend is powder coating them friday as soon as they show up.. Just need tires and mufflers/pipes to make the rest of it work.

QUICKIES.. i have not washed my car yet, ignore the bugs and shit all over it.. the fuckin tires are way too big in the rear.. these are 275 40 18s.. working on getting 265 40 18 mickey thompson et street radial 2's and stretching them onto the rear. Thats a first im sure. The 40 series 275 is too tall for my tastes, and requires me to sky jack my shit so its like 12 inches off the ground which sucks shit IMO. I like it hovering right off the ground like the grim reapers cape.. I wish someone made a BAD ASS 275 35 tire. I can literally fry these tires off till the end of 3rd... Need something STICKY and everything is either too narrow, or way too big. need at most a 10.8 inch wide tire. 10.9 is too wide..

Working on that diffuser.. promise i wont let you dudes down on its rawness.. the rear diff cover will look crazy too since you can see all up in there. its HUGE.. considering getting it powdercoated all strange(black wrinkle with machined fins) and having my BLACKLIST logo laser engraved into it.

sides are on and painted, just too dark to take pics.. The side markers should be here tomorrow or friday. As soon as the RTV cures on the rear cover, i can fill it with this 80 dollar fluid i got for it, and drive it to finish up the fab work on the rear diffuser. This fucker is coming close..

Well out of spirit for updates and keeping you heads entertained.. Heres some new shit.

I polished the FUCK out of my car this weekend for a semi local show deal in hopes of having some fun and getting some attention. Mass hate, and NO ONE really knew what they were looking at. I did not even place at the show event. A yellow beretta with a shogun kit and saturn headlights won first and a cavaleer with a gtr spoiler and some like niche wheels won second. lol!!

Ok, this is an awesome build mate and props for doing most of the work yourself. I am sure u know this is an Aussie car because u have the Aussie Holden lion on the boot(trunk) but why did u put a euro Vauxhall badge on it and not a Aussie Holden badge?
these cars are built by holden aus, and either sent to arrowhead international in sidney to be outfitted with pontiac bumpers and other parts, or sent to theuk and tagged as a vauxhall cv8z.

Since the majority of gto rednecks that convert these, switch to the holden stuff, i decided to get the vauxhall stuff instead. Its much more rare and hard to find. Some of the pictures are old and along the buildup. The car had the lions on it originally but has since been switched to the vauxhall griffens. The ornaments took me 6 solid months of searching to find the right ones. Im active on quite a few uk forums, and this car is actually setup to be shot for a major feature in Total Vauxhall magazine as soon as its finished. Im going more for the uk LM spec look

Haha yup. I still go on .net everynow and then just to check in and share the progress of my Miata. Trust me when I say that forum USED to be so awesome. I've been a member on there since '05.....my original username was WhiteSS but my acct somehow got flubbed up and I made the username WhiteSSBalt in '07. I consider myself to be somewhat of an OG on that forum, and most of the original....ahem....mature guys and gals either got run off and sick of dealing with all the kiddish n00bs or, like myself, simply moved on to different cars and whatnot. There's still a few cool people left on there that I check in with for old time's sake. But yeah, mentioning "stance" over there you typically get one of two responses. Either people are flatout living under a rock and don't know what your talking about, or they hate and try to diss the style. Seems like most Cobalt owners stick to that same old boring template of lowering it on springs, painting the factory wheels some bland color and adding ugly projector headlights and tinted tailights. ::yawn:: .....lol. Glad to see a Cobalt guy actually into the stance movement, and i'm anxious to see what's in store for your car in the future. As i've stated before, I almost stanced my Cobalt, but in the end I wound up selling it. Not because it was a bad car......but mostly because I had owned it for a few years, was bored with it and it had a shit ton of miles on it. What's up man! I've got a GTO also. I'm keeping mine a Pontiac though, lol. You're wheel fitment is a little extreme for me, but they look real good. I put 20x10's on mine and it rubbed pretty good with 275/30r20 tires. Even with the fender lips cut down. I could only wish I had a hookup on CNC/Waterjet machines. Keep it up.

It may be extreme for most. In reality this car is the car i bought to drive to and from work every day. Initially i did not even plan on doing engine mods to it, and just planned on cosmetic stuff. I have a 2366lb RX7(prolly around 2900 now with the cage and changes) street car thats more for racing since this gto is a poor choice considering its 4000lbs and an IRS car. It used to be an NA car and i just moved all the NA parts onto the gto.

The RX7 is getting a ERL superdeck 2 LS2 427 6 bolt blower block/all pro lsw heads(Marcella manifold with tax return), currently working with an RPM level 6 4l65e however swapping to Rossler or extreme automatics spraglessTH210 to handle the load. precision pt 106 billet/BS3 efi, blabla i could go on for a while, i research all of the stuff and build it all myself as its one of my passions so i tend to jabber about it at times. Since its the function built car, it has 15x10 champion beadlocks with 28x10.5w et drags/ weld alumastar 2.0 17x4.5, and the wheels are not "flush". Its not IRS anymore either, ive minitubbed it, modified 90-10 lakewoods/qa1 170lb front coilovers for it/strange rear coilovers for suspension, and a narrowed/forged torque arm 8.8 setup for it(didnt feel i needed a 9 inch as the car is dangerous fast with the power i can make with the weight it is). The plans are to have this out in the spring time, and have some fun in it.


I guess the moral of the story is. The gto may be a faggot ricer setup or be fun to make fun of because of some wheels (that bolt on with 20 lugnuts and can be changed easily), however in reality, its just a daily driver i put together as bizarre or modified as it may be. I seem to be getting quite a bit of hostile hate with people editing more or less comical pictures of me dressed up like a wigger with a bandana on my face and a shotgun. I guess its assumed im actually trying to act hard and shit, however in reality I find the same humor in the brooklin homeboys and the icy hot stuntaz as you and your friends do. Quite honestly, i fucking hate wiggers. I dressed up like a wigger for halloween to tell you the truth. haha. The shotgun picture deal was me simply acting like a hooligan as a joke. If i was truely that concerned with it, why would i even post the pictures? Anyone who knows me authentically in person, knows i am in no way shape or form a wigger or a wannabe hardass thug. Im just a dude fucking around with my friends having fun. I enjoy all types of cars. To some this place may be their only hideout and passion with cars, to me its just one of my many flavors of interest. I have mini tubbed underdog mazdas with bowtie motors, riced out gto, and even big trucks. I just like all cars and am an automotive enthusiast at heart.


I respect that you do not like the appearance of my daily, and feel as if my wheel selection on my rear wheels is so terrible that the entire car sucks. I am not into cutting a hole in my hood for an intake(like you did), i would just buy a low profile wilson billet or beck intake so i could keep the hood in tact and drive it in the rain, but i do not choose to ridicule your car or selection in parts, i respect it for its what you are into, and you had the balls to cut into it.. In reality, the main disconnect seems to be the pair of rear outer barrels/rim shells i have. I could swap to a slightly narrower racing tire in the rear, and tuck the tire right into the fenders. Perhaps i will even spec the wheels slightly different when i pick up forgelines, but who knows, im happy with it besides the wheel profile.

Im not sure if the pictures you disclosed in your introduction thread are in fact actually your car, or another persons car that you have made fun of and ridiculed for using 20 inch wheels, and you have edited and added them for humor. Hopefully you can just move along and find something else to occupy your day with instead of messing up this forum out of amusement if that is the case(its not your car).

The only reason im responding back to you is to a. keep my cool and state my case since clearly its misunderstood, and b. politely ask you to not bring the drama here as a joke. Sorry for the winded message. Id just prefer to accept our differences and respect each others forums instead of fucking them up with difference in opinion.

Lol. The plate makes sense when you explain it. Taken with your pic you can definitely see where it can be mistaken. The car with the 19/20 combo is mine, circa 3 years ago. I've had another 3 or 4 sets of wheels on it since then. I don't think I could ever do wheels that are real expensive as I get bored with the look after a little while. I live in Phoenix. It hardly rains, lol. I'm going to put a Harwood mini-prostock scoop on the 04 hood. Should get a lot of Wtf's for that. Combined with mini tubbing it with 325's it should end up pretty wicked. Like you I'm in to all facets of automotive. My next project after the GTO is to put an LS1 or Honda v6 in my mid travel 1967 VW Baja. Once that's done, project lsx Miata will begin as a road race build for PIR.

Im actually working on swapping the front end on my 84 hand me down 3/4 ton today to a 91 k10 gmc blazer front end. Odd project compared to what im used to.. haha

While building the car to do 200 mph is cool, if you hit a dip at high speed you will more than likely rub unless you have a crazy spring rate on the car.

The car has the pedders xa coilover kit, however i have done some working with the spring rates. I started out with their initial i believe its 7kg rear/8kg front, went to 10kg rear, and am now at 12kg rears. The fronts have also been swapped with 9kg as well. Fortunately the coilover kit uses a 2.5 od spring thats nearly the exact same length as my old car had. Due to this i have an abundance of springs i can try out to see how i prefer it. If i go any more than the existing rates though, i will have to have the shocks revalved and setup for the rates. Ive had a place not to far away build koni shocks for me before, but im not too sure if they can alter these. In all reality, ill probably use some different wheels when that time comes. Im actually running on hand me down ALMS Porsche GT3 front heat cycled/shaved r888 toyos when the car is setup like i want it. These goodyears in the pictures were just some free corvette tires my wheel guy gave me so i had something to drive on around town. Unless the Toyos are 150-200 degrees, they are like driving on ice. Here in ohio as we move into the fall, unless im driving like a dickhead all the time, the tires arent warm enough. Hopefully i hear back from some tire companies here soon and get some tires on the way. With a 10.8 inch wide tire i clear fine and can tuck the tire in the fender. Anything over 10.8 is too wide and requires me to raise it and it sits like it does in the recent pictures. Im not really fond of it like that. I need to do some more stuff(milled/ported heads) before i have the power to get that kind of mile an hour out of it though in the course of things. Once again, my daily driver is now another extensive project, and ive had to get another vehicle. annnd im already fucking putting grills and shit on it as we speak, lol..

But yea, as far as that picture, i can understand without explination, it could seem ridiculous. That was the idea. hahaha..

Part of the issue is that the rear Pedders and BC coilovers are only true coilovers in front. BC Racing makes coilovers that are actually valved how you want and rebuildable. GForce1320 makes a rear set that will allow you to either run aftermarket control arms or notch yours. Then you can fit some real wide meat in back.

I contemplated those repositioned gforce ones initially, however at the time there was just a disconnect with the front setups. Unless i bought the 1700 dollar pedders ones, then bought the 1200 dollar gforce setup, i would be left out as far as front stuff went. I know some were using qa1 setups off mustangs in the front, however i never got much feedback as far as what spring lengths and what the height outcomes were. I also know a few guys with ALMS gto's who were running similar designs (to the pedders) with Penske Racing shocks and eibach ers springs which was what directed me towards the pedders setup. Wouldnt you know, like a week after i bought them also, they announced the supercar external resovuar setup also *shaking head.. haha..


Ive talked with chris a little in the past, and contemplated the setup he makes along with notched lower control arms. I just balked
because i was more or less left out for the fronts and pedders would not sell me front stuff. When i bought them, i think that bc ones were being introduced through some shop? Maybe im wrong, but i could have sworn my only options at the time were kw's and xa's.. It seems that more stuff is becoming available as the year has passed, that or i am just getting more into where to look and research.


Anyhow, glad we could shift this conversation into a positive one. Eventhough we have different design and styling tastes, it seems as if we have the same passion and education as far as how we seek parts/mods and setup our cars. My cosmetic stuff currently does lack a bit of function with my rear tires, however with my race tires on the car it does very well and does not rub how i have it adjusted.

Now that i have picked up a truck and i drive it daily, my desire to make this fuckin thing like 500whp/wtq na+ spray is extinct. Ive driven it once in the last week and a half of nice weather and am starting to want to finish my rx7 more and more. Meaning, I dont think i am going to get heads, or do much more to this GTO besides adding the nitrous stuff i already have, and changing the wheels and adding the aero parts im already fabricating. Sadly enough, my interest in the car is SEVERELY dieing at this point. The more i think about it, the more i just want to get the total vauxhall magazine feature as is, and sell it off to someone else and get a c6 z06 instead. we'll see how i feel in a few weeks, i change my mind alot. hehe

Fuck putting a cummins into the old chevy truck i have. I need a decent truck to tow my cars around this summer for events.

Next phase is a 02-03 excursion 4x4 7.3 powerstroke. all black(with gray leather interior), 12 inch suspension lift, 38s, front reinforced bumper with winch, cage on top for spare tire and luggage, and a 2011 front end conversion. prolly upgrade turbo, intercooler, downpipe, exhaust, and tune. Great for cross country gas mileage! haha

i may have already said it, but im too lazy to scroll through and look..

I decided against fucking with putting forgelines on the car and changing a bunch of cosmetic shit. The top of the car(roof, hood, trunk) is now satin black, and i have gotten quite a bit more of power adding shit.


The afr heads i am getting are the 215cc cnc heads, however they are hand ported by one of the top porters in the country from AFR. The Fast 102 intake i have is also going to be getting reworked for the heads at the same time. Below are some pictures of similar headwork. When everything is done it will be tested on a flow bench and everything is being spec'd per my cam and other needs.

The nitrous system is completed. Ive added the lingenfelter multi step retard and launch control, added the wheelspeed progressive cometic controller, added quite a bit of fittings and lines to upgrade existing elements of the fuel system as well. I still need to add a NANO large capacity high pressure assist system for my nitrous, but besides that everything for that angle of the build is complete.

The point im at right now is the motor... I could just bolt this shit on the motor and be done, but there is a part of me about to buy a forged 427 rotating assembly and shoot for the stars. With the setup as is, id assume i will be hopefully coming near if not setting records all motor wise on a stock ls2 shortblock with no power adders. When the nitrous stuff is active, the rod bolts will be on the fringe. I do have rod bolts to install, but the extent of work necessary to change them is about 4 hours, and a bore and hone away from having the entire block built.

after this there is officially no other boltons even made for this besides internal engine and forced induction. Hoping for damn near 500 before even adding the heads.. we will see. its at 472 and ill be adding the electric water pump with 160 tstat which will allow me more timing before it heats up where its at with the 190 in it now.The plugs in it are stock 55k mile plugs that went 4 months on a check engine light. The otr intake, a friend just added to both a blown 6.0 which made 31whp more! The other car he added to was an all motor 6.0 gto that made 24whp increase with the ls3 maf and intake setup. Hopefully these crucial changes will bring me 28hp together, even if not im sure they will bring some more power to the table outside of the novelty 500 numbers. More to come.

Full cooling system replacement should be going down this week, the vinyl work gets done as well, tires mounted, and it will go in for an alignment, then be back out ready for updated pics. Stay tuned!

most of that shit is done. I balked on the over the radiator intake due to my radiator being larger than stock as well as my nitrous plate pushing things forward about 1.25 inches. Once my friend gets his, i can test it before i dunk 800 on one after shipping from melborne.

The other mods made a huge fuckin difference. Id say this car is right at 500 at the rear tire now before spray. From what ive raced id put it right around 10.70-10.90@128-131 the way it sits. Adding another 150-175hp at the tire should put it into solid 9s if it holds together, and id say ive got the ass id need to get up to the 200 mark perhaps. We'll see!

with the pivoting design on the rear lower control/trailing arms, the car does not really pull any more than about 1-1.5 degrees of negative camber out of the suspension. I could make offset/elliptical control arm/trailing arm bushings that would possibly give me maybe another half or so degrees, but the problem begins to lie on the power levels i am shooting for.

With tons of negative camber, on a car that i have really taken quite a bit of weight out of, and am already approaching 500ft lbs with, tons of negative camber and a smaller contact patch on my tire begins to be a neusance. In all honestly, it can actually get pretty dangerous in something like this. I mean im not saying its the fastest car out there, or there are no other cars with big power that are stanced or whatever, im just saying with my particular realm of interest and how i set my car up, i prefer something that has a bigger contact patch and that i can really rip hard on. I tend to like grip racing more than drifting, so that leaves me setting things up a bit different.


As for those bushings, thats pretty cool you found this list. I have looked into a lot of the lovells bushings for my car, and am contemplating some changes right now in the rear that would allow me to even ditch the toe adjustment arms in favor of more solid bushings that tie things together better. Im actually getting worried the stock rear end configuration is about at its end at this point. There are some small vibrations that could be a part of the solid mounts i just added, but they still rub me the wrong way when i really look into things.

The front camber is MAJOR adjustable stock, as the strut has plenty of room to move one way or the other on the knuckle which adds or removes a considerable amount of camber. Seeing how ive ran the front wheels way way outside of the normal fit, i cant really fool with much towards the negative side of things without the inside of the tire hitting the spring. Actually stock, the springs are about 6 inches in diameter and these wheels would never work. Seeing as i added the pedders coilovers, the spring diameter drops to 2.5 od and i am able to run a larger wheel. I could machine some brackets to bolt to the strut then bolt to the knuckle that spaces things out about 1 inch -2 inches. This would allow me some more adjustment and possibly a larger tire availability as far as size goes up front. My main concentration at this point is trying to start to get a lot of these bushings out of here though and kill off some of the understeer when you arent even thinking about the accelerator.

more to come.. Will be at IA in nasheville in a few weeks with most of the shit added, however NOTHING added for forced induction.. Once we return, the SERIOUS project starts and the next time it runs ill will be playing with 90mm turbo and nitrous to spool it up and shooting for MAJOR fast stuff.. With the nitrous shit added, it will be over 600 ft lbs/625whp and should be around 3000lbs at that point after some more weight reduction.. The cage shouldnt add much as i am going with chromolly. Ive raced a few other cars recently and put this car as it sets no nitrous right around a 11.30-10.90@ 127-130mph. Adding a 150 shot thats traction controller should be very interesting imo. This car runs like a raped ape right now. Even on a 275 50 et street radial, its hazing the tires off all the way through 3rd. Im contemplating fender tubbing the inner fenders in the rear and notching the lower control arms now which would allow a 325 tire on back. In a few months when the turbo stuff is added, im shooting for 1000-1500whp. will need the 9" irs setup and a gforce hellical cut t56 for that time though.

the only thing id need to do to do this, would be the sheet metal tubs, some fab work to weld shit in there, and a few odds and ends but if i notched the control arms i could jump from a 265-285 up to a 325-335, which is the same tire that PLENTY of people go 7s on. Then again, the tire i can run now ive seen plenty of people go 8s on so we will see. Not really building a drag race car, just building some shit to terminate mass hate fed jealous twinks.

the full cage is chromolly and is being constructed per rulebooks ect.. For now the plan was initially a 6 point, but the 6 is turning to an 8, and ive got a part of myself that really wants to sell these new gauges and sell my cluster and buy a stack or a motec cluster and go for a full 12-14 point since the a pillars would be open without the gauge pod and all of that shit up there. Id want to do gussets to the stock pillar like ALMS cars are built. bleblabla more trash to come my friends..

This was fabbed by a guy in chicago with baffles inside it for road racing, and complete with the 2 way check valve fill the gto stock tank has(neck comes in half way up tank, otherwise it would drain out the side,durrr. ) -12 feed, dual -8 return and vent.


with the pump and shit i had off the left side of my rx7 (i had 2 pumps and 2 sets of filters), ive got enough to flow about 1200hp, i think i would step it up to -12 at that point(redo lines larger) and put on a big weldon pump, but i figure at 370ci with a stock crank and block, id be on that threshold anyways. The car with 900hp-1200hp will be as fast as i need it to be. Any faster and the chassis fab work necessary would be logical on a different car in my opinion, and i would need about a 15,000 dollar motor, as well as probably give up the manual trans for a glide or a th210 rossler(which is like 6000 dollars), making it garbage on the street, so im not going to dive into that. This is going on a car i am building per spec as much as i can to a road race car(just with stupid hillbillyredneckwigger horsepower available per a1000 boost controller), so the whole drag car shit is not the plan. I have the race drag wheels and tires, but overall the car, i was planning on getting forgeline ga3r's per a partial sponsorship, just was still waiting on this imaginary dude thats buying my wheels at this point :( . Anyhow, per the new street wheels, im staying with an 18 inch, however im stepping the"flush" lip down on the outside about 1/2 inch, and the inner barrels will be as wide as i can go with the mini tub inserts and control arms and inboard coilover rear end setup. Id assume it will be around 12-12.5 perhaps, but wont really know till i dive into cutting shit and fitting new tubs in there. With that in mind, i could more than likely run a 325-345 tire in the rear, and that would end up being plenty of tire for major power with a NICE boost controller. Im going to more than likely use a precision pt88 billet if i can fit it, if not either a 80-47 billet or a big garret gt series. Im not too concerned about the lag, as i am going to leave the nitrous on the car and have it turn off after it builds 8 pounds? or so. Prolly do trickflow 235's ported with nice valvetrain to spin as high as i can i guess. Have to look into that also. Just giving you queers a good idea of what im planning on doing with this garbage. haha... jfwy.

well i figured id toss up some updates.. Made it to Import Alliance, but not till sunday. All kinds of motherfucking problems.

We were up 48 hours trying to get it done in time, and managed to discover the god damn gas tank had pin holes in it at like 5am on friday morning. Drained like 8 gallons of gas, stuck an exhaust pipe on the filler neck via a shop vac hose, displaced the oxygen with carbon dioxide as well as a huge spray of argon, and then filled the tank with water. My dude welded it up for me in like 15 places, since i paid like 700 dollars for it and all and it was not worth a fuck IMO, then i was on my way.... To shell where i then discovered there was a need to plug off an adjacent filler vent tube that was not mentioned in the instructions that, well to make a long story short, filled my back interior with about 2 gallons of gas. Total fucking nightmare. I spent like 5 hours masking everything off in the interior to paint it professionally battle ship gray and make it look good, then the god damn gas ate everything off, so i guess ill have to revisit that chore in the future. I think i am just going to have my friend jerk the fucking glass out of the car and have the entire inside rhino lined like a truck bed. Then i can just dump gas in the back seat and throw my slicks in there and tear the shit out of it. Either way, that was just the beginning of gay shit on the trip.

Didnt even make it out of cincinnati before some fucking junk fitting i had that came with my regulator blew an o ring and started pumping more gas inside the car. I was already feeling like shit from no sleep, so after vomiting a few gallons of puke on the side of the road in 98 degree heat while being covered in nauseating gas, we were fixed for the moment and ready to go. Didnt decide to go till the next day, so slept the remainder of the day to leave saturday afternoon.. Well i forgot to mention i got pissed off and punched my rear quarter as well, but it was already dented from a war wound and needed to be fixed anyhow. So we are now working with a dented rear quarter, broken gas filler door, and wrinkled front fender. Car is seriously turning into a piece of shit at this point from driving it like a ww2 war plane around every day with the shitball roads in ohio.

Anyways, made it down there in a lil bit, but it wasnt really worth the trip since all the ccw dudes left for florida before i even got there.. and my car was all fucked up and shitball embarrasing imo with war damage.

On the way home, i had some god damn fuel leak from the rear fitting pressing against the trunk is all i can assume, and i guess the rpm signal for the fuel pump controller was not as good as we assumed, cause if you used the cruise control, the fucking shit would cut power for the pump, and i had to keep keying the car on and off every 5 minutes.. Well that lasted about 15 times before i got further irritated...after getting an awesome call that i had more or less lost my job, so project fuck this faggot trip and get home as soon as possible commenced.. After about 10 miles or so of blasting over 170, i developed a vibration in the front drivers side, then noticed something blow over the hood from up front. I assumed it was the fog light housing, so i just backed it down to 150 and got off the highway...Well i guess that dorky riceboy splitter was garbage cause i folded it down, broke the turnbuckle off, and ripped all of the bumper mounting bolts out on the drivers side from wind deflection. Time to redesign and make it tray back under the motor as well as make the shit out of .190 sheet metal instead of plastic bullshit. Afterall, i cant blast 200 if the shit wont do 170-180 for a good distance without running into issues. I also think im going to pull the bumper off and build a skeleton underneath out of some round stock, then adapt DZUS 1/4 turn fastners all over the mother fucker till i can stand on the bumper and jump on it without it moving.

Got from nashville to cincinnati in 3 hours 5 minutes though, haha.. wangan style.Just kentucky chromed(duct taped, even purchased in kentucky) the front end back on with strips of tape on all seams to prevent wind issues.

Well its a week later, and ive had time to chill and am about to get back on the car. At this point i think im just going to get the motor work finished on the car, then repaint the entire god damn thing when i mini tub it in the rear. I have come to the conclusion that i need to buy a car to drive every day, since my 84 scottsdale 3/4 ton chevy is awaiting an lsx swap at this point as well, and i need something thats bone stock(which is going to be EXTREMELY hard for me to keep it stock) to drive daily.

I got most everything installed for the nitrous stuff, just didnt want to push my luck and fuck stuff up not having enough time to tune everything reliably, so i just need to swap plugs, dial the fuel pressure in for the nitrous kit, install a nitrous filter, and its ready for 150-175 jets. As far as the forced induction build, i think ive narrowed it down to a Precision Turbo PT88 Pro Mod.. The 91 is entirely too big for my engine bay, and i want to keep this car functional if i choose to drive it around often. With the 88 i can make shit work with a front mount air to air intercooler with a manual trans and on pump gas. Any larger and its going to turn into an air to water intercooled car with an automatic.

Anyways i could keep jawing, ill just post up some pics along the build. I understand its not like new pics of me hard parking or showing off my newly rolled fenders, and the car has some battle damage, but at the end of the day, i am building this into a war machine. Now since that passion has expired, this car is doomed... I mean i hand machined the rear hubs on my old TL so i could run -4mm offset rears. This shit is going to get cut the fuck up till its sitting on centerlock (monolug) forgeline 18x13s with stretched HUGE Mickey Thompsons on it. Just something to shit all over all the doubting thomas assholes. As long as i can swap the wheels and hang the wheels a foot off the ground , we are good.

That car actually had a built shortblock with nsx pistons and a 125 shot on it at one point. The entire suspension is basically identical to the HART BTCC 90s accords they raced in the super touring series. Swap the vsxx's to 17s with toyo ra1's and you could absoloutely ELIMINATE any turn you threw at that car. Then again the wheelbase was HUGE.


Dont get me wrong, the gto is pretty extensive now, honestly its pretty sickening when i look at what ive done to it. Since most arent hip to it and a lot of the parts are fit and finished very well, to someone not into gto's it doesnt look like much has changed. i have pedders xa brand new spec coilovers on mine. I have some squatting issues, and i dont thing most assume these squat like they do. I mean when i had 500hp civics, you could roll some standard rear springs and be straight. This car even with 10kg rear springs squats so hard it will tuck the wheels 3 inches past wherever it sits. I was worried for a bit with 275s since it would rub the sidewall and white smoke the "goodyear" off the sidewall, but anymore ive swapped to some stiffer eibach ers rates and seem to not have as many issues. Still my Falken 265's have no lettering on the sidewall so i guess im falling victum to the same issues. Either way, fuck it.


Id suggest as far as hes going just go get a setup like these pedders. If the time was right and i had some more coin in the bank right now id just cut you a smoking deal on mine. I am going with the gforce relocated rear coilover bracket kit and doing Penske Racing external resovuar shocks in the rear and front with eibach ers race springs. Indecisive on what rates but either way i am going stiff as fuck. The main issue with these turds seems to be the front radius arm bushings. Mine are so warn it this point i can see on the rear portion of the front fenderwells all the paint is scuffed off and the tire hits the inner fender under braking or some shit. clearly it moves around big time. There are elliptical bushings for the rear trailing arms which will give you like a degree more of adjustment, but overall you are pretty fucked with the setup on these cars. You cant get anywhere near the camber these guys are gettingh from g35s and civics thats for sure. On the flip side, with a mild setup you can crack over 430 ft lbs, so if you had some dildo -12 degrees of camber, you would basically be building some shit that just does donuts anyways so the mediocre camber isnt as bad as it seems.

In a month or so, if he can wait, i will be getting rid of my suspension which will allow him to clear wheels like ive got (18x11 +35 or so) which is like 3 inches beyond what the windowlicker gto dudes assume will work on the car. haha... Ill keep you posted if you are interested, otherwise im sure they will just join the shitpile with the rest of the parts people lowball me on and i can never sell and just keep to hang on my christmas tree.

dam youre goin all out it seems. we finally have all the hardware shipped in. getting the tires mounted and balanced tom. we keeping wanting to do bc racing coilovers. temporarily can i adjust camber with the factory suspension? from what i read the gtos have great front camber adjustment but im dont know about the rear.

also he head a borla catback which was expensive as hell but we took that off and now want to run a custom header back. we were thinking 3 inch pipe with just an x pipe all the way to the back. what do you recommend.

the front literally all you do is loosen the mcpherson bolts and push or jerk the knuckle. The rear...youre fucked. Either elliptical control arm bushings, or, well youre fucked. lol.. I can only get like 1-2 degrees max in the rear. Anymore than that you DONT want with a car like these. Entirely too much torque. Its one thing in a 400hp 240, its another when you are talking about a 4000lb car with 400 ft lbs+. You will DESTROY your tires. Even a basic cam/heads package and you are making over 400 torque with most every gto there is.


as for me, yea i am going all out. Plans may have just changed. I was marketing my rx7 for sale on another forum, and offered a complete procharger kit for the gto. Its a LITTLE one, but this would be a LOT simpler for me to just upgrade the head unit from the p1 to the f1r and then convert it to cog driven with a race bypass so it makes tons of fucking noise. I think this may be the route i go. I will have the turbo shit left over, but the ole truck is begging for it hahahahaha...



the bc's are actually better than the pedders for the money. How many dudes you know who are trying to sell their pedders are going to tell you that, right? I am, because you are on stance nation and i will do what i can for stance dudes. The bc's have better rates and the shock piston size is larger. From what i can remember, they are domestic also. My pedders fuck up, and they have to go back to melborne.. Then again, id probably send them to some friends up north that build koni's and apex'i's and have them give them a shot before i sat on stock crap waiting for a rebuild.. I probably just jinxed my ass and am going to need a rebuild before long too since all the roads around here are designed by carey hart and jeremy mcgrath. Anymore im looking at raptors to drive. There are like fucking bmx jumps on every road i drive on. Dont move to ohio unless you have a 4x4.

Maybe ill just pay elvis to come out here and drive my truck with my gto on an open car trailer so i can get some use out of my setup tho. haha..

didnt notice the exhaust question. IMO, prefab exhausts are for people who dont want to mess with it. The best exhaust you can get is one you build yourself if you know what youre doing. Buy an x pipe, pick out whatever mufflers you think sound good, and go from there. I can tell you my car with spintechs sounds fucking insane. Every SINGLE person thats heard it goes and gets their friend, comes back, and "dude, start it up and let him hear that thing". I am just running 2.5 inch spintech x pipe, the pro 2.5 spintech small gto mufflers, and catless midpipes off pace setter headers. Im making nearly 500 at the tire with STOCK LONGBLOCK aka NO HEADS, yet i do have pretty much every single n/a bolton i could find. If theres one i dont have, lmk what it is and ill get it ! lol... IMO, unless you are going force inducted, bigger cubes (over 364 ls2 bore), BIG compression (from either a rebuild stock cube or larger or from changing to some nasty heads that are milled to make the combustion chamber smaller), OR running nitrous, there is no reason to go 3 inch exhaust IMO. All its going to do is give you a bigger pain in the dick with dragging it on stuff, clearing the rear end(if you run tail pipes), and overall fitment... ESPECIALLY on a stanced car you are more than likely going do dunk on the ground like mine is. Even my 2.5 shit sits LOW as fuck to the ground. I would just get it on a lift, get some stainless donut radius's 2.5 inch from burns stainless, and go to town cutting and fitting. If you arent a good welder, mark off where you want your welds with a sharpee and take that shit to someone to have it tigged. In the end you can design something that tucks way way up in there. Just keep in mind in the future, if he plans on making serious power, the stock driveshaft is garbage. Make sure not to get shit too close in there or youll be kicking your own ass when you have to rebuild it.


My personal suggestion are

1. spintech mufflers
2. Borla xr1 race mufflers

I like my shit loud though. Heres an in car of my car with about 50 less hp than it has now. Also this was when my exhaust was new. I dont have tail pipes, i just have 90 degree turndowns after the mufflers and before the rear end. My car now is absurd loud and everyone i know says when i come over, it sounds like a "fucking nascar". To some that may sound dirtball red neck, but im telling you, even the hardest core honda dude who hates v8s around here will just sit and listen to it smiling. Alot of peoples negative outlook on exhaust is from when the sound is coming from some iroc with american racing chrome nuggets or some shit. If its a gnarley car, they will dig it. But cliffs notes... dont do 3 inch unless you have major plans. I make nearly 500 hp with the 2.5 and its plenty wicked sounding. My car is slam dunked also, like probably a 4.5 inch drop over the confederate setup it comes stock with.

in the suspension dept, we fitted some federal 245 40 on a 10 wide wheel. barely any stretch. when we go hard wot the car squats and smokes the shit out of the tires. funniest and most exciting thing ive seen in a while. in the front there is 0 camber and about 1.5 inches of poke, which he likes and i hate. i know when we install the coils this will be reduced but well play it by ear since its his preference. btw i rolled the rear fenders. double sheet with tac welds talk about overkill gm.

exhaust will come soon and prob be in the form of what you recommended. at the moment he is running open headers.i love the ls and the noise it makes i just cant take that cabin vibration and drone. i dont know how he does it lol car backfiring and raising hell at 30mph

also... drag bags. is that worth it. seems weird but i guess this has been a solution for ppl in the past

i didnt spraypaint that shit either. I took it out, went from 600, to 800, to 1000 grit and actually sanded the silver off of the abs plastic. That way it does not chip or scratch off. On the center console i actually stepped it to 2000 in a few areas so its semi gloss and glossy black to give it more tones and look more natural..

The screen and cluster are all done by Chris White. Hes an IT guy i guess who is from holden. He will reflash the cluster if you mail it to him and program it how you want it. I got him to take the PONTIAC bullshit off there so when i key on the car the HSV holden special vehicles icon comes up instead when its doing the system check. Then had him add my blacklist deal in there too. I actually wanted VAUXHALL startup screens, but on the american cars, the pontiac icon overwrites the vauxhall file so you cant recover it. He also turned off some other shit like skip shift and increased the brightness of the cluster, as well as unlocked the factory shift light. Theres actually a small black dot past 7 on the cluster, thats a shift light they turn off in america? I had it reactivated and set at 6800. I then pulled shit apart after having one guy do the led's and changed the led in it to a c4 like 800 lumen streamlite tactical flashlight led. haha.. Its bright as fuck and does not have some tacky hillbilly light bolted to the dash.

If you want that cluster done, the site is like white auto media or some shit like that. You have to get on the webstore like on a saturday early in the morning. He only opens it one day, and will only accept like 10 orders and then he shuts it off. Its kind of a bitch to get it done. DONT DRIVE the car without the cluster, cause if you plug it back in and the mileage does not match the ecu, it flips the fuck out and writes all kinds of codes in the car. If it ever gets sold or goes to the dealer, they can come back on you for odometer discrepency which as we all know once its on the title like that, people wont pay you shit for the car.

ive got an INSANE amount of time and customization in this car. Sometimes i forget the small things till i explain it out like this. Most people that arent a gto owner dont even notice, and massive amounts of locals blast on my car and call it a volkswagen riceboy car and shit with just some wheels and body stuff. haha.. I just laugh though, in the end i built it for myself, i dont give a fuck what anyone says. I just sit and stare at shit and come up with new ideas and go for them..

I think i am going to pull the radio out, and make a panel for that spot that will house an ams1000 boost controller, a boost gauge, and some other gadgets imma need for the turbo kit. Id say eventually the triple pillar will be gone, a cage will follow the a pillar down into the front trim panels the tweeters are inside, and i will gusset it with hole stamped gussets to the existing a pillar. Prolly move those three gauges to where the old climate control knobs were, and rip the entire blower motor, heater core, and gut the dash entirely of all wiring and stuff for the climate control. I only really use that stuff in the rain to defog the window, and its pretty hillarious driving it in the rain with the power and tires i have now. With like 2-3x more power, theres no fucking way im driving in the rain, so ill just rip all that shit out and make the dash weigh like 10 lbs. More or less ruin a perfectly good car to some, but to me, FURTHER CUSTOMIZATION! lol..

seeing those pictures should also reveal this car gets driven. I have 71k on the car now. Have driven on stretched, stanced 18s and with around 500hp like almost 20k miles in a year. Yes my shit has dents and is fucked up, but this car is a DAILY DRIVER. i drive it sitting like 3 inches off the ground, tucking tire, and enjoy it. Thats why it gets beat up. Its not a show car, its my war machine.

All you need is some high pound fishin line and patience. the pontiac letters come right off which are the worst ones IMO. Just seeing that word makes me wince. I go there from time to time just to search my name to see what dildoesque comments are current. I spotted a thread about a red gto with 10 inch wide wheels and saw the multiple page thread about it.

If you want to see real shit, look on there at my thread. Its like 30+ pages long. People saying they hope i blow out a tire and die in an accident and shit. I started to blast back some hatred, but there were admin guys posting my works ip registration name and other guys like "we should send his boss and let him know hes doing this on company time". Like what kind of fucking jerkoff does shit like that? The shit that pissed me off the most was i had a thread where they were blasting me, and i made a comment back.. next thing you know the administrator deleted the thread, took my comment like 5 pages in and made a new thread out of it so it was like i was just randomly starting some arrogant dickhead thread. Thats when i just went into user preferences changed password to 120-93459012345nrjkadsfdf12-30490-234 cut, pasted to verify new password, and logged out. If the administration is corrupted like that, the website is worthless. And if you are threatening peoples jobs, thats taking it into KEEPING IT REAL territory. When that shit happened, i just lurked the administrators public photobucket album, found a picture with his full name on a name tag, searched county auditor and tax page websites via real estate pages in his listed local town, got his home address, got his kids name, found out what school his kid went to, and fortunately nothing happened further. When i lose my job over some shit like that is when someones kids get their legs broken at the bus stop or a budget rent a truck gets driven through someones bay window by some iron horsemen in exchange for a car title. There was some other fuckface dude on there also that was talking all kinds of shit that just happened to live locally. Did the same shit with him, his dumbass had a public photobucket with his first initial and full last name, just lurked his posts till someone said his first name, searched his full name, reverse searched for the address, google mapped it, google image searched it, and what do you know, the picture of his gto in the driveway with the house across the street is the same house across the street from the google images pictures. Figure one night perhaps he needs a zx10r rev limiter burn out on the front door step if theres nothing to do, lol..

In all reality tho, just ditch that site. It fucking sucks. Theres nothing there but tactless hicks with shitty advice or a bunch of old dudes that just blast on people together on the internet. There are a few cool guys on there, but the dildos outweigh the cool guys. When you really look into it, theres like 20-40 posters who have like 50000 posts or some shit, then the rest are just tag alongs. All of those dudes have like tsw truxtons and like stock motors with d1 prochargers or just some mediocre shit. Not everyone is always going to be into what you are into. In the end, as long as you like it, who gives a fuck. Theres thousands of people on this site who will love it, and youve got plenty of people backing you. Anyhow. we were doing close to 150, got off the freeway, nascar downshifts, and came up on a state trooper. lol.. He got me for a blown out hid i guess that went out on my passenger side. Anyhow he asks me why my plates are to the morgue, i explain the power stuff with the car, he says awesome and starts telling us it will probably go over 200. Dude DEF heard me on the parkway like 30 yards away from him at 6500 at big speed moments before, he had to have. lol

Anyhow, went to start the car after he bullshitted with us a few minutes and didnt even want to see my insurance card, the battery is junk so it wouldnt start. Opened the trunk. LOL... And hes just like JESUS looking at all of the shit in the trunk. He helped push start me.. YES, THE COP RAN HIS ASS DOWN THE ROAD pushing me so i could get it started. and we were on our way. Ten mins later i hear a flat tire kind of sound, pull in Javiers driveway, and hear the noise coming from the passenger side head. Pulled it apart today and still cant see anything, but i will know more once new springs show and i can actually get these off. Either way switching cams, and at 25k miles, i had to change the springs anyways. The cam i had was so big and the spring pressures were setup almost at max lift for my setup. Shit was living on borrowed time. Just glad it didnt drop a valve and blow the fuck out of all of it. Hopefully i can get it back together soon so i can melt the ring lands on the pistons with 9psi and a 50 shot before it gets cold.

thinking about jerking the rear glass out of this now and making it from lexan.

Going to take the bumper supports out and make chromolly tubular ones also to allow clearance for a bigger treadstone intercooler.

Im taking some time to think about the forged bottom end plans, but i am between buying a rotating assembly for the ls2 block, or just leaving the motor alone all together and buying a gmpp lsx block with 6 bolt trick flow heads and just switching it all to square port big power shit. The only thing thats holding me back is the transmission. Theres all kinds of people that claim these built t56 trans's can handle over 1000 hp, but ive got quite a few friends with SERIOUS fast f bodies and they are having significant issues around 800-900hp.

Either way, i think with the weight i am cutting out of this car, it should be pretty ridiculous around 800 at the rear tire geared for the freeway not drag strip. i dont think the 3197 figure stated earlier is authentic. Im thinking the scale i used was off cause that is extremely light for this car not to mention we took a civic down there this week and it was absurd light also.. Then again it doesnt even have a dash board so who knows... Either way, my tuner is a GTO veteran, and drove the car for the first time about a month ago and he was VERY impressed and noticed immediately how light the car was after driving it. Factory freak, or perhaps just a good selection of parts and as light as im assuming initially?. Im sure once i start gutting the blower motor and vents and climate control out of the dash and taking the stereo and all of that stuff out of it, its going to drop weight off pretty quickly.


sorry for the delay on pictures or updates. I kind of do things in big spurts. The next spurt should be heads, head studs, bigger injectors, rear end, blower cam, blower, small nitrous shot. May not even use the nitrous, but who knows. Fucking the heads up i decide to get are the only thing that would hold me back. Once the winter is here, it should get serious fast and in all honesty there wont be much more i can do to the car aside from doing stuff i already have over again. Im just trying not to build the average run of the mill drag race gto in the end. Afterall im a hellaflush ricer so why would i do that. haha..


It would REALLY surprise me if I didnt have a pre 70s nova within the next 2 years or so. Every day i feel more out of place driving new cars, and i really want a tubbed chevy 2. Both the look of the car being what im growing towards, along with 99.99% of my friends are hot rod builders is starting to really rub off on me. I dont think it would be stanced like this car is, but i want to build a car with a f3 procharger on a big block or some shit now. Something that makes ungodly torque and stands it on the wheelie bars.

If you want big power holding ability, get a Jakes Performance full manual valvebody 4L80E. You still have overdrive and lockup with that trans. It was too much $$$ for me, that's why I have a TH400. I can only go 150mph with it.

i actually have a 5000 mile 4l80e sitting in the garage, but cant convice myself to go for it.. I just enjoy the manual trans setup.. I think i am just going to take my time with this decision, and i may end up sacrificing some power. To the date, almost 1 year ago exactly i had a rpm level 5 4l65e, as well as a Rossler th210 xtreme hd for my rx7 sitting in the garage. Parted ways with those to get a extreme automatics spragless th400, but lost interest in the project. Now those motherfuckers are insane.. but not streetable.. I havent looked into the jakes stuff, but heard all kinds of good things about them from countless dudes on the truck forums. Hell theres guys with even stock 4l80e's with hd2 transgo kits and pressure valve adjustments that are running in BIG power setups just fine with only a converter. You cant beat the price on a turbo400 though. especially with a manual trans car, i could toss that in and just install a shifter and be done more or less ya know..

In the end, with an ultimate want of eventually having a big block tubbed chevy 2 with a 106+mm blower on it, i think its pointless i shoot beyond the power limitations of the average built up/ faceplated t56/multi disc with this car. Nothing is ever going to get me to that scare the fuck out of myself power i want with this big cube drag car. Afterall, the car is fun enough with 500hp, let alone around 700-850 on a forged motor/f1a. I think ill be plenty satisfied.. I am already outgrowing my wheels/tires now though. I dont see much use aside from exhibition burnouts with anything besides my weld wheels at this point, lol.. Even with this little p1sc i have on like 8.5-12 psi..

My main pickle right now is to just replace the valve springs, or jerk the heads off and put cnc/built heads with larger combustion chambers so i can run more boost for the time being on the bottom end.. Then again, when i grenade this fucker, i could be out a set of heads too.. LOL... Decisions decisions.. To think, i still have like 2 grand worth of nitrous shit that i havent even used either.. Only option is to have nitro daves install a money maker inside the intake, retune with no maf so i can fit the fogger in the intake in the right spot, or swap intakes...OR. p1sc with a fogger in the charge pipe, mmm..lol..

Leave the compression where it's at and run E85. You can run around 17-20 psi with that. I would just put ARP head studs in with LS9 head gaskets. I drive my transbraked TH400 on the street with a 5000 stall. It's way more fun than a six speed manual. In my opinion. I just wish I had overdrive. Right now 75mph is about 3700rpm. 55mph is about 2800rpm.

Well the wheels have started turning, no balking this time.. pro charged with a small shot of nitrous(if it holds together, lol), goes forged/pinned ls2 block 402 with afr 225 heads this winter.. A friend has a f1a procharger he may not use, if that is the case he will swap me for my d1 head unit and some cash when/if i need a bigger blower. I feel like if i do, i will be at the point where i have outgrown my trans/clutch and i will swap to a built automatic at that point if i decide i want more power. I feel as if its unlikely ill need more power than i can make on a d1 upgraded kit with nitrous though.

---- 15 inch spal fan with push in ties (removing fan schroud)
---- Meziere -an fittings for electric water pump inlet and outlet to convert from standard hose to -an style hoses
---- -?? an LARGE fittings welded to radiator inlet and outlet
---- -?? an LARGE lines and hose ends for radiator hoses with large steel braided hose instead of shitty looking pieced together radiator hoses
---- Treadstone TRST top exit 26x4x6 single turbo large front mount intercooler
---- ProCharger Race Bypass valve external dump (not enclosed) disassembling, having anodized black instead of ricer red.
---- 102mm charge pipe/ovalized to go over radiator and into throttle body with bypass valve mounted in front grille

On the way...
---- d1sc pro charger head unit and brackets.(disassembling and having anodized black, brackets powder coated black wrinkle finish)
----East Texas Muscle Cars Stage 2 Blower cam
----PAC dual valvesprings/seats/titanium retainers/valve seals

no more imports beating me around here that i run into on the street. haha..

Contemplating pulling the dash out now, removing the airbag, removing the heater core, blower motor, and lower half of the dash, just so its the dash shell in the car. Removing the door panels and making sheet metal ones, removing center console, and then using dry ice to remove all sound deadoner. Also while ive got it apart, prolly start tearing out wiring for anything un-used, like all of those wigger speakers and that nonsense. 3000lbs or bust! LOL.... (car is about to be paid off and at the point of no return with what ive done already, so time to tear the ever living shit out of it and turn it into a street registered race car like i always end up doing)

Hillbilly you say? Check my new intake out, lol. I am putting a pro-stock scoop over it. My intake air temps actually read lower than ambient now. By about 2 to 7 degrees.

well the kid backed out on the trade for the rx7 and procharger. I am just buying a brand new f1r from procharger.

I also bought a phoenix yellow 01 type r (the official BEAT R) to drive every day while i swap my truck and work on the gto. I guess it will be a good car. Revs to 9 also so it will be good for doing burnouts in the snow.

shits been dead in the water lately. Lots in my life going on. Lots fucked up. That faggot type r shit had a cracked head in 5 places, warped 60 thousandths, and the block was smoked. Rebuilt the whole fucking thing 3 days after i got it. Thought i broke a valvespring in the gto, replaced the springs and need a retune, but thinking i may have stretched a rod bolt, snapped a rod bolt, or smoked a rod bearing in the #8 cylinder.

Aside from being unemployed, separated from my wife working through some shit, as well as the rest of the bills catching up, i will eventually make some progress on this.

Sorry for the slow pace, just honestly dont even give a fuck about the car lately. . At least i have the R etarded integra to shred turns on <4 wheels. Getting new quarters welded on it this weekend and painting the whole thing, then it goes on ebay. Truck is getting swapped as well currently. Just dropped it off at my friends shop and let him deal with it. Once its done, its getting sold also.

Just wanted to inform you guys Colt passed away... I'll miss him so much! We shared so many memories from going to shows, driving around the natty to taking pics of his ride, definitely consider him to be my family and the midwest has lost an innovator and a great person/enthusiat. RIP my brode and I'll see you again one day... never thought i had to say something like this specially of a person like Colt... Miss you bro!

Just read trough this whole thread of this amazing car and one down to life dude to find out he passed away, not trying to dig up old news or grief, but just to say this has inspired me beyond belief to go outside the borders with my Gto, and to say the least, R.I.P. Colt.

Colt was a really good friend of mine. After almost a year since he has passed, i have the GTO in my possession. Engine is going to need a rebuild, along with a new front splitter and other things. I will try to update as i go along. Thanks guys.
