So i recently joined Stance:Nation and i love all the cars here. But I'm somewhat new to the stance of cars, so i was hoping i could get some help on achieving this. my main question is how do i find the right wheel/offset for my car. It's an RSX btw. i have coilovers i need to install along with a camber kit, but i don't know how to get the right offset after i install all that. I know i don't want to use spacers because of how they negatively affect your suspension...

anyone? i believe the factory offset is +40 so if i went with +30 would that make my tire a tad more flush?

Tons or trial and error plus math. :/

Look at this one, maybe it'll help you bro.

All I can tell you is to drop the car, camber it, do what you gotta do before getting spacers/adapters!
PS: Spacers aren't bad, I dunno who told you that? I've had spacers on for months, and am now running 25/30mm adapters with no issues as well!

You're going to have to do some major research. Figure out where you are at now and where you want to be. Like Phil stated above, it'll be a trial and error game. Some people go through multiple sets of coilovers, wheels, spacers, tires, and the like before they get it where they want it. Also as Elvis stated, get your suspension and camber figured out to see what you're going to be able to fit, if you're going to need spacers, roll/pull/flare fenders, etc.
Let me just say, be patient with it, and build your car to represent you. Have fun with it. It's not a competition.
I hope this helps. If not, don't be afraid to post up. You're at the right place, this is a good forum.

thanks a lot guys. and yeah i know about what you mean by going through sets of coilovers and having to find your camber. i had a civic sedan before this as my first car and it was pretty low, especially for being an all season ohio car lol. but i didn't mess around with spacers or massive camber kit's or fender rolls and pull's. But that's what i'm hoping to do with the rsx, so all the little info helps a lot! Thanks for the link elvis

Once you get your cars ride height and camber dialed in, you can pm me and I'll try to help you out with the math depending on how much poke you want.

Do you have any resources? If not first find someone who can roll/flare/pull fenders. Find a good alignment man. Look around at some other RSX's and check out there setups, if you see something you would like to achieve then research the size/width/offset and tire size. Once you have wheels and tires, Get the test fitted and go to your guy who's gonna roll/flare/pull your fenders. Then get your alignment and dial in the appropriate amount of camber needed for the look and ride you want. Go back to your fender guy for final adjustments. May not be the steps that others take but it worked for me. It's gonna take a lot of time and effort but in the end it's all worth it! Good luck!

call me a noob... but i don't know exactly what poke its. is it the amount that th tire comes out from the spindles or the side of the car or something? and what kind of math do you need to do to figure that out?

There are various styles of fitments used, one of which is "poke". Poke is when your tire and wheel sticks out past the fender. You can achieve this with a low offset wheel/wide wheel combo.
You may not want this, which is the reason we recommend researching where you your car to be. Some people like the poke and "mexi-poke" look. Some prefer the flush or barely flush look. While others dig the sunk or tucked look.
It's all in personal preference.

thick spacers. long bolts. baseball bat. Thats how i got +8 with 18x9.5 to work on a car that is stock at +35 with 15 inch wheels. (not the wheels in my sig)

Easiest thing for me to do was to go on forums native to the car I had and see what kind of setups other people were running. I'm sure that there are plenty of guys on ClubRSX who have their setups posted with pictures for reference. There's also a couple guys on here, StanceWorks, WFC, etc etc who have their setups posted, so take a look at their setups and go from there. Also check out websites like rimtuck.com and tyrestretch.com for examples of wheel fitment & tire stretch. Hope this helps!

Ok man ill give you a quick but accurate crash course on fitment. I didn't like the trial and error much either and tried to get it spot on the first time and i did luckily enough. Here's what you gotta do:
1-figure out what kinda fitment you want. Tucked, perfectly flush or poke. Like the others said check out forums to to see what looks good
2-look at a grip of peoples wheel setups and I mean a GRIP. Be able to sorta figure how different wheel sizes will look on your car
3- put all your suspension parts on,right ride height, get your fenders rolled and alignment done. Make sure you have some means of Camber adjustment
4- go out to your car and measure with a ruler in mm from where the face of your sunk ass rim is to where you want your beautiful ass new rims to be. Do this for front and back. Most likely they'll be different.
5-use this calculator 1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp to put in the available sizes for the wheels you chose and see what comes closest to your desired width. you may need to stagger
6- once you have your wheels, test fit them on the car and kinda eyeball how much stretch youll need to get that tire where you need it. If it seems too wide, dont stress you can always pull the fenders son
7-get tires and slap those bad boys on there. Make any small adjustments to ride height and Camber to make it perfect
8-sit back and fap to your sexy new car
Hope that helps a little. Just remember don't rush anything and if you need help were all here man.

What does it mean to use a baseball bat? Never witnessed it, only heard of my friends using this technique. Do you roll out the fender from the inside?? I'm a little lost.

Skip to 5:30 on this video. He's using a pipe, but it's the same general idea.

I would strongly recommend using a fender roller. Buy one, rent one or get a friend with one. You'll need a heat gun, as well.
