For the most part the car is stock at this point in time, i really hope to change that right after the snow lets up a little bit. But i picked the car up back in may of 2010 and held off on buying any parts for it for a little bit because my last car got stolen and had eveything taken off of it... but once i accumulated some money i bought a couple things and hope to install coils soon, and see how low they can go! but enough talk her's some pictures.
Mod list
DIY black housing
Blackouts
HKS Hi-power
Function & Form type 2's
Hardrace rear camber kit
17x9 +38 (going on soon)
Energy Suspension (ordering soon)
more to come... :teasing-lurk:
that's about it at this point....
photos are a month or two after i got it so i didn't have the black housing done yet, or the black Acura emblems

The tail lights are too dark for my taste, but other wise look like a great starting point. RSXs look great sitting low on some nice flush rims, so can't wit to see some more progress!
young gunna
01-27-2011, 05:17 PM
yeah the tails look really dark in these pictures but in real life they aren't that dark. although i did take some rubbing compound to them a couple months back and lightened them up
young gunna
01-29-2011, 09:43 AM
thanks man, i wish i had some money so i could just get some more parts
93180sx
01-30-2011, 03:18 PM
Looks like a decent start for sure, at least on this site you'll have some nice RSX's to reference when doing your wheel selection.
young gunna
01-30-2011, 04:18 PM
Thanks man, i really hope i can show it's true potential. And yeah i definitely noticed there are some sick rsx's on here, the one guy i think his name is jose, has crazy fitment with 18" orange Volks. After i get my coilovers installed i wanna try and find some 17" wheels with a 30 offset or 35. like there's a guy selling some black rpf1's that i really like i just don't have the 800 dollars to throw out there for wheels ya know?
93180sx
01-30-2011, 04:34 PM
I feel ya man, dont forget about all the companies that specialize in rims with great sizes for great prices!
Check out the new XXR 526's for starters,
then there is always
MB Battles
XXR 522's etc.
Rota's
etc etc, great rims that will get you well on your way to being nicely stanced :D
okstance
01-30-2011, 04:41 PM
if u want a site for some custom offset wheels about the same price as xxrs pm me
they dont look SUPER awesome but the sizes are unbeatable for price
young gunna
01-30-2011, 04:44 PM
i really like the 526's! the fat lip on them is sexy, i also looked at the 962's in gun metal. And yeah the big reason i was looking at the rpf1's was because they were local, and only 800 with tires on them plus they also had the 35 offset which would give me a flush fit.

I can't wait to see this car on the streets this summer
young gunna
02-01-2011, 07:56 AM
your gunna see this shit a lot! we'll have to get a good shoot together once you slam your wagon

03-06-2011, 04:51 PM
dude you disappoint me i some a picture of it low when you texted me yesterday was expecting to open this page up to like 5 or more shots guess the snow that we got stopped that from happening

03-06-2011, 07:35 PM
RSX tails are so good looking. I feel like you kinda ruined it by tinting them. I wish you would red those babies out. But to each his own.
young gunna
03-06-2011, 10:07 PM
yeah i'm going to post up pictures soon, and i know what you mean but i don't like the 02-04 rsx tails on EBP too much. plus everyone with a subtle modded rsx typically has stock tails.
LowDC5
03-06-2011, 10:41 PM
Ha. I love my rsx. The only thing I hate about them is lowering them. What I mean is that the tie rods get all fuu'd up and you get some bad steering problems. Also, I am not happy with my rsx because it is not as low as I want to go.. (my type 2s are maxed out). It's probably because of my stock wheels and tires though. I have some wheels just cannot afford tires at the moment. LOL.
Anyways, love the blue. I am not a fan of the tinted tails either.. but hey, it's your car not mine.

so i'm officially rubbing fender now, going to post up some pictures soon after i get an alignment
Did you max them out? How do you like the ride feel? In for pics. we should meet up on Saturday or something and check out each other s cars.
young gunna
03-07-2011, 11:52 AM
actually no they aren't maxed out but i'm sitting probably 3 or 4 inches max off the ground, when i had them maxed out my tire was touching the fender liner completely. and i don't have any problems with steering or anything lowdc5. my mud guards scrap when i hit little bumps lol, i'll post up pictures soon. now i have to figure out what's wrong with my HID's they stopped working after my alignment.
LowDC5
03-07-2011, 07:48 PM
Probably cause you didn't go low enough. I maxed my fronts out and just ripped out my fender liner. I would post my intro, but I do not have a pc at the moment.
young gunna
03-07-2011, 09:42 PM
Yeah it's my dd so i definitely don't want to rip out the fender liner especially with all the Ohio weather. How low are you now lowdc5? Like in accordance to the ground
LowDC5
03-07-2011, 09:54 PM
Uhh.. not sure. Nowhere near as low as I want to go.. but like I said my coils are maxed on the front. Ill upload a pic tomorrow and find out how low I am. That sucks about ohio weather..
Edit: Here is a picture of mine.

we look to be about the same ride height actually. i'll try to get some pictures soon
LowDC5
03-08-2011, 09:25 AM
That's weird. My coils are maxed lol. I want to go so much lower, but I don't know what to do. Hopefully the new wheels with smaller tire size will make it as low as I want it. And hopefully a Mugen lip kit will make it appear lower..
young gunna
03-08-2011, 10:30 AM
yeah tires and wheels can always make a huge difference. and are you going 05-06 mugen lip kit with the type r front or what?
LowDC5
03-08-2011, 02:12 PM
Hmm.. I need to do some more research, but I am thinking of the mugen rear skirt (does the 05-06 switch down to 02-04 with minor mods?) and then Mugen sides if they fit and idk about front yet
young gunna
03-09-2011, 12:47 AM
i've heard they fit nicely if you use a heat gun to mold it slightly. and there are also replicas that they make that are designed to fit the 02-04 better
jmotley
03-10-2011, 09:04 PM
you got any pics of it on the f&f's? and have you ever wondered why rsx's wont go low enough?!?!?!
young gunna
03-10-2011, 09:27 PM
no not yet, weather's been kinda shitty lately in ohio. i want to get some pictures tomorrow regardless of the weather though, although i need to fix my rear and raise it up and inch but I'm waiting til the hardrace control arms come in. And mine's good right now, i've been scraping :/. but why don't they seem to go low enough for some people?
LowDC5
03-10-2011, 10:18 PM
^ Yeah, its trash lol. What size are your tires?
young gunna
03-10-2011, 10:41 PM
205/55/16 i believe, i'll check in the morning. but i wanna got to 17x8 or 9's on 205/35/17 or 205/40/17's.
LowDC5
03-10-2011, 10:48 PM
On my 17x9 I was going to run 225/45's.. but not anymore. I am going to go with something smaller and more stretch
young gunna
03-11-2011, 08:37 AM
yeah i'm debating if i want to run the 205's once i get the wheels or not, i may run a 215 tire
LowDC5
03-11-2011, 12:06 PM
I'm thinking 215/xx myself.. So many choices lol
young gunna
03-11-2011, 12:08 PM
lol right, ugh i just took some shots of my car and there uploading now, but i need to get my camber kit in so i can raise the rear and see how it affects the overall look of the car.
posting up pics in a minute, all unmolested no editing that's how i roll haha

nice! and it comes with a bottle opener always dope.
how much camber are you running now?
young gunna
03-23-2011, 09:39 PM
i'm actually at only -.02 camber, right now i don't want to have any serious camber because i don't have money to go through tires. it looks nice though, i wanted to have a nice flush fitment for now
slotoyo
03-24-2011, 04:50 AM
i'm actually at only -.02 camber, right now i don't want to have any serious camber because i don't have money to go through tires. it looks nice though, i wanted to have a nice flush fitment for now
yeah i feel you there. once i get my new wheels, replace my wheel bearings, and slam my car agian ill probaly try and change my camber to around -1 or -2 just go i can fit my wheels but better than -4/-3
young gunna
03-24-2011, 07:23 AM
yeah i was thinking about run -1 or so once i get a new set of wheels, i'm just notsure what wheels i want yet, i really like the loo of xxr 962's and their affordability but i would love a set of satin black rpf1's
slotoyo
03-24-2011, 10:35 AM
eh rpf1's are good but you see them on ever car. thats my bais opinion that i hate copying a car on wheels haha
iff you want xxr's you try looking at the

them 526 are hot....
young gunna
03-24-2011, 04:54 PM
i like the 521's, i looked at those along with the 962's. i would love some work equip's or a set of volk re30's would be tits. but i like the re30's equips, and rpf1's as my real expensive wheels.
jmotley
03-27-2011, 09:23 PM

young gunna
03-27-2011, 10:08 PM
that's the thing though, everybody is getting rid of them since a lot of people had them. haha but idk i need the damn money before i can even really look at all my options, i've seen a couple people rocking the 006's lately

do 006 18x9.5 rears and fronts!! my friend just put 18x9.5 all around on his car and they fit amazing after he adjusted the camber bolts up front..i had 006s on my s13 in 17x9 and i got compliments on them all the time and cost under 600 with lug nuts =]
young gunna
03-29-2011, 09:48 PM
damn that's a hella good price! and 18x9.5 would be tight! i almost wanna stay at 17's and go with a medium sidewall of like 35 so i can bring the car lower :)
okstance
03-30-2011, 09:54 AM
go RWD status and run the 18s in the rear and 17x9s up front! thats what i was guna do but i sold my wheels and decided to go 5 lug ha

Anybody else with an RSX want to chime in and tell me how to go more low? I am fixing to take the locking perches out of my Type 2's to see if they will go lower..
young gunna
04-02-2011, 10:13 PM
idk why your won't go lower, if i put mine to the lowest setting i'd be on the ground. maybe get lower profile tires, more camber and lowest possible settings

But hopefully new wheels will be here in a week or so after Thursday. going with 17x9's and a +30 offset so i'm going to pick up an extra 53 mm of poke
hope you guys enjoy the photos. hopefully in a week or so i'll have some fitment.

haha yeah i need to once i get some new tires to put on the new wheels. the 17x9 +30 set i was going to get sold out so i decided to go a different route and picked up a set of three piece wheels. i test fitted them the other day and have some pictures on my phone but it's not letting me upload them for some reason. once i get some new tires mounted on them i'll post up some pictures. the current tires rub on the locking collars on the coilovers, and i need some more camber in the rear because the rim is hitting the trailing arm
HellaQuik
08-15-2011, 08:08 AM

young gunna
08-15-2011, 11:10 PM

young gunna

yeah for sure, but i would have to scavenge for parts becasue these were discontinued awhile back, and only made in japan. But the good news is i bought them from a guy that has been dealing enkei wheels for forever so i can ask him to find them for me and get a good discount on the parts, although he said it's near impossible to find replacement barrels

well the news is that I'm stuck on color choices lol. All the lips are polished up and i made some new centers for them because i wanted to have something different. But the color is the hardest thing ever!!! once the color is chosen I'll be getting them back together and mounting them asap. Also I'm going to be getting my sideskirts color matched to the car soon, and going to be notching some frame area's. My rear upper control arms are constantly hitting the frame in the rear and the new wheels hit the trailing arms so idk what I'm doing yet, maybe custom fabbing new one or i may just see if i can hammer in the one spot like 4mm for the time being since it's my DD

how are the wheels going?

10-13-2011, 06:23 AM
alright guys wheels are back from bead blasting, now I'm just making my rack so i can slide them into the powder coating oven without problems. ALthough me having money for tires is a major pain in the ass right now lol. And i did talk to a guy about a CAI a couple days ago so i think i'm picking up one to rid of my air box. Now time for the bad news... i think my throw out bearing is going and with that i will want to put in a new clutch since it is probably getting around that time since i hit over 149,000 miles yesterday. So now idk if I'll have tires before fall is over :(

wow that's cheap! i'm hoping to see if my one buddy still works at Conrads and see if he can give me the hookup. and i need to mod my trailing arms a tad for the wheels and hopefully i won't need spacers for the fronts at all becasue the locking collars

yeah for sure, but i would have to scavenge for parts becasue these were discontinued awhile back, and only made in japan. But the good news is i bought them from a guy that has been dealing enkei wheels for forever so i can ask him to find them for me and get a good discount on the parts, although he said it's near impossible to find replacement barrels
if you want barrels, I can hook you up with somebody who can get some. I have another set of Enkeis from the same run of the Aegis, and I'm getting new lips and hardware for them.

So the rsx got called totalled out by the insurance company officially, and it looks like i won't be able to buy another car with the money i get back. So time to rebuild of the rsx so i have a car to drive, hoping i won't have to sell the wheels for money to restore the car but it definitely needs some serious work... i'll get more pictures once i have more light. doesn't look as bad as it is i guess.
