I purchased my bbs's last January after selling my Advan RG2's.
The bbs' started at 15x6.5 +36
This is how she looks:
I've been at this for a few days so I'm just gonna give a quick re-enactment of what's been happening...
Ok... so I was at work checking up on the UPS shipping status.. come lunch time, I went to my parents and scooped up my long awaiting lips :)
I didn't hesitate to open them so this is my re-enactment lol
I get to the house and see this!!
I got the box and couldn't help but notice this tag
Smiling and playing with scissors, I opened the box! Well, the packing was a funky pack job with old boxes and styrofoam chunks but it works right? Peeled the top layer off and what do you see!!!!!!!!!!!
Home away from home!
As I'm unpacking, Oscar had to come see what the heck was filling up the living room lol
For the front of the car,
For the rear of the car,
Then them together...
that's all for now. I gotta get the temp wheels later tonight before I can take the wheels apart :)
01-27-2011, 05:31 PM
Well, Sam and I started taking apart the wheels and then as we went to snap pics, that battery died FAIL!!!!
So this is what happened...
All of the 120 lovely oem BBS hardware
This is the 2.5" lip on the wheel vs. the oem
Then the beautiful 3" lip vs the oem
Possibly a new hood prop in the making???
Not gonna lie, kinda nervous bout fitting the 9's but I'll make it fit :)

TIME FOR SOME UPDATES!!!
Well, I went to my garage to get my rubber mallet to take apart the wheels, only to find out... idk where it went hahhahahahaha
TRIP TO WALMART TIME!!!!!!!
Looky what I haz now :)
So I stuck the rims in the oven
First one went to 5min.
5minutes later and a few good hard wacks
I got yelled at cuz I was beating the shit outta them trying to break them loose and they didn't wanna budge.
After talking with a buddy he said to just put them in for 10min, so thats what i did! i baked em for 10min, ran out in front of my garage and beat em down with the rubber mallet. I finally got all of them apart :)
Then the next day I went over to Sam's house to have some fun while he worked on Matt's Genesis.
Well, here's what they look like apart
Yeah, I need to order new ones :( fingers crossed, next payday!
O yeah, this is cuz they didn't wanna cooperate with me!
First off, take some brake cleaner (thanks sam!) to them to clean up the dirt/grease/etc. off them
Afterwards, I took the Aircraft Remover to them and let them do their thing! :)
This is for the aircraft remover splashing on my legs and burning the piss outta them =/ lol
I got tired of sanding and scraping with a wirebrush so I went to the center caps and hex caps... Sanded them down and got them looking good...
O yeah, Sam took this to show how my cars sitting lol. I had to raise the car about an 1/8th from the top of the coil to fit the Fit wheels (Thanks Wayne!)
After all that was done at Sam's, Grandpa Foxx said I could come drop off the faces to be sandblasted (thanks Matt!)
His boss left a little early so he said I can blast one if I wanted, hell yeah!!!!!!
The closed down and I left them with Matt so sandblasting will start soon =)
That's all I have for now!
01-27-2011, 05:36 PM
My two tires came in, haven't picked them up tho =/ As for the centers, I get them back on Saturday so I won't be able to assemble these until Monday :( (weekends are my busiest since I work both jobs, 7am-3am)
Since Foxx has the centers for sandblasting, figured I'd clean up what I have..
Onto the hardware. They weren't in the worst of condition but they still needed a little bit of love..
I took the Aircraft remover I had from yesterdays fun and put it to use again.
I used a glass bowl from Walmart, $1.50. The bowl was used to hold the aircraft remover as well as stand the bolts up. I didn't care about cleaning the parts you can't see, so I stood them up on the BBS end :)
I put them in there and let them soak for 20min. My timer was used as well as two games of COD :P
After the 20 minutes went by, I just scrubbed em down, wiped em off and then let them sit in water for little bit..
After about 10minutes in the water, I dried them up and this is how they turned out..
01-27-2011, 05:51 PM
can't wait to see these once their installed!
01-27-2011, 06:25 PM

01-27-2011, 06:27 PM

01-27-2011, 06:59 PM

01-27-2011, 07:13 PM

01-27-2011, 07:43 PM
Thanks everyone! Yeah, having friends in different business's help out a lot!!!
I'm gonna place the order for my front tires tomorrow so I should be able to pick them up Sat when I get the faces back :)
01-27-2011, 08:48 PM
Damn Adam, I missed this thread. I Can't wait to see what this thing looks like when you are done!
01-27-2011, 09:23 PM
You didn't miss it. Just slapped er up today lol.. You and me both bro!
Too bad it'll be next week tho =( Not getting the faces till Sat. I work till 3am on Sat and work all day Sunday as well. Won't be able to get them assembled until Monday. Once they're together I gotta wait a day or so for them to completely dry and then put on the tire. My tire guy is only free on Monday and Wednesday so doesn't look like tires will be mounted till then :(
damn, what a legit sand blasting station haha
01-28-2011, 01:43 PM

01-31-2011, 04:54 PM

01-31-2011, 05:02 PM
I love everything about this thread.
01-31-2011, 10:20 PM
Thanks for the kid words everyone!
Yeah, I work at AMC as a second job. I got the Megamind standee cuz he's fuking awesome! Too bad I tossed him to make room in the garage =(
Anywho, time for an update :)
Well, I got all four wheels together, took about 30-35min/wheel. I'm kinda bum'd because the sealant I got dried up inside the tubing so after getting what I can get outta the tube, I only got two wheels done =/ O well....
I have a ton of pics so stay tuned :)
02-01-2011, 01:33 AM
Why havnt you posted them yet, i took a 2 hour power nap .... woke up, saw a S:N update email on my phone, saw it was your car's thread and rushed and logged on. Now you leave me in suspense once again? Damn you sir, damn you.

02-01-2011, 08:06 AM
Sammich i agree dude, this is killing me i really wanna see this fitment.
and that's cool, i work at a Cinemark up in Ohio. i think someone drop kicked our Megamind standee lol
02-01-2011, 09:48 PM
Ok, now that the internet works again....
Finally got all 4 tires in :)
Rear's are Falken 502 195/50/15
Front's are Nexen N3000 195/45/15
Grandpa Foxx did a hell of a job sandblasting the wheels for me! I got them a few days after I dropped him off since I wasn't in a rush :)
Since the sandblasting came out ballerficiness status, priming was not hard at all!!
I used a total of 3 coats of primer to make sure everything was filled and even across the rim.
Then after that dried up, another 3 coats of paint went on. I didn't powdercoat them because of the lacking of funds.. I worked with what I got and I'm lovin' the outcome so far!!
Thought this looked cool so figured I'd share lol
After everything was dry and looking good, now onto the fun part!! =/
[b]HAVE TO]/b] use the blue threadlocker. I scooped it up from Autozone. I used one packet for all 120 bolts.
After about 35-40min, the first wheel is together!!!!
you can kinda see some sparkle with a flash..
Then a day time shot to get a better look at the color combo
It took about 30-40 minutes per wheel but the process went nice and smooth!
Shot of the rear wheel and its newest best friend!
Rear on the left sitting on the 195/50/15, Front on the right sitting on the 195/45/15
After an hour-ish later... They're all assembled!!!!
Only thing left now, seal up the wheel so you don't have any leaks.. I used the Black Silicone Adhesive Sealant (also from Autozone) for the wheels. I used two of these. What I did was first round, let it sit for 24hrs, then the following day, put another layer on and let that sit for 24hrs..
As of now, the rear wheels are on their 2nd 'coat' of sealant and the front's are on their first 'coat'... Tomorrow around 530ish, the rear's should be completely dry and the front's will get their last 'coat'. Thursday I'll be doing the "test fit" picture and possibly getting tires mounted (got to see if my friends free to do them for me). I'll keep this updated as far as the progress goes :)
Last thing I have to do, I'm about 60% done with hex caps, in the process of polishing them out as well but ran out of sandpaper :(
02-02-2011, 08:16 AM
YES YES YES!!
02-02-2011, 02:33 PM
and i can't wait to see them on the car, the bigger dish looks hot
02-02-2011, 03:04 PM
Nice cant wait to see whats next some great stuff....
02-02-2011, 05:28 PM
I can't wait!!!! The rear wheels are done drying, the front's I put another layer of sealant on so they'll be done drying tomorrow and tires should be going on tomorrow as well ;)
02-03-2011, 09:02 AM
very nice here! lots of hard work put into these wheels with it going to look amazing once on that car.
02-03-2011, 10:49 AM
Thanks, just got done test fitting the rear. I didn't fit the front because I know they'll fit. I'll be uploading the pics once I get the car back off the jack and rolling again :)
02-03-2011, 11:13 AM
02-03-2011, 11:18 AM
I know that my front's will fit. When I borrowed ceejay's wheels I was pushed to a +20 but had to use my 8mm spacers to clear the caliper. So my front's are rolled for a +12 and the specs on my wheels are a +11 :)
So my worries went to the rear's fitment =/
So I begin. The fit wheel comes off, the suspension goes low again :)
Time to jack up the wheel to see how this will sit.....
First thing I saw was this... yeah, kinda got nervous :(
Jacked it up to see the fitment.. Wasn't happy with it so I lowered the suspension just a little more and tried again..
I'm going to get tires mounted tonight so fitting will begin late tonight or tomorrow morning :)
02-03-2011, 11:50 AM
thats guna be soo nasty
02-03-2011, 12:42 PM
02-03-2011, 02:13 PM
I can't believe I've missed this thread too! I just looked through all of the pics and I'm really excited to see this all finished! That fitment looks KILLER! And props for not painting the spokes some goofy ass color. the silver looks so classy!
02-04-2011, 03:49 AM
ahhhh I want tonight to happen alreadyyyy
cant wait bro!
02-04-2011, 05:47 AM
Well I went to my buddies work last night to get tires mounted, he works at Toyota. I went towards the end of the day so nobody was really there... long story short, we stayed and fitted the wheels :)
He's a 240 owner and stance freak so I let him work his magic with the roller I borrowed from another friend since I've never touched one.. Had to roll a little more than anticipated but idc, I got to keep it with the least amount of camber and it still sit flush :) I have a lot of pics to get onto the comp but I'm going to fix the little bit of rubbage issue I have so pics will be up later today :)
02-04-2011, 06:51 AM
Here's a quick pic for yall while the rest upload :)
02-04-2011, 08:10 AM

02-04-2011, 11:40 AM
ARGH! I was hoping to see some full shots. Nice work man. cant wait for more pics.
02-04-2011, 12:08 PM
Well let finish this shall we :)
Went up to my Toyota to visit Greg and Punch, punch was gonna mount the tires for me.
First the valve stems had to be installed
Then to the tire machine!
Rear is done!
Now onto the others..
Rear is standing up, front is laying down
There was some built up pressure still so we wanted to see what would happen when someone gets blasted with 130psi hahahahahaha
Now that all tires are on, time to get lifted!!
Greg even lent a hand since I killed their workout schedule =/ My b guys
There's a good chunk of metal aiming strait down that made me nervous so we beat it up :p
Onto the rear! Where I was really worried about lol
Punch worked his magic on the rear fitment and the flare looks clean!
Then here's a quick teaser for me being STOKED on how it came out!!!!
Big thanks to:
- Wayne for beater wheels
- Ceejay for suspension setup
- Punch for mounting the tires and doing the fenderwork
- Greg for lending a hand throughout the mounting/rolling process
- Sam for helping me with tire info
- Foxx for sandblasting the faces
HUGE thanks goes to
- Matt G. for answering every question known to mankind for a RS rebuild
- My wonderful fiance Shannon Gee for putting up with the non-sense throughout the build. I love you more than anything!!!
Stay tuned for more pics :)

02-04-2011, 06:01 PM
Thanks for the kind words.. Well I got off work early for only being called in for 1hr 33min lol.
Two things are a plus outta that..
1. I found $10
2. I got off early to post up pics
With that being said.... I took these on the way home last night..
Me being stoked on the outcome!
and if yall want a new wallpaper ;)
I lowered the back and the clearance from the tire to frame is like 3-4mm :) So sick!!!!
I'll do a 'photoshoot' on Monday since I work both jobs on the weekends :(
02-04-2011, 06:24 PM
Absolutely amazing. So impressed. Mad props and such.
02-04-2011, 07:44 PM
Oh yeah, that's looking good dude. Seems like you could use some work in the back (camber) and you';ll be golden!
02-05-2011, 12:41 PM
nice! those are the pictures i've been waiting for! the new lips look sick on that thing and the stance is perfect
02-05-2011, 02:00 PM

02-05-2011, 02:57 PM
Fitment looks so rad man! I'm really impressed! can't wait to see more pics of this beast!
02-05-2011, 07:31 PM
I added a hint of camber in the rear. I think it's where I want it at :) I only got to drive it around for a short distance so I haven't got to test it yet lol...
Pics are happening either tomorrow or Monday :)

03-28-2011, 07:29 PM
