I've been at this for a few days so I'm just gonna give a quick re-enactment of what's been happening...




Ok... so I was at work checking up on the UPS shipping status.. come lunch time, I went to my parents and scooped up my long awaiting lips :)

I didn't hesitate to open them so this is my re-enactment lol

I got yelled at cuz I was beating the shit outta them trying to break them loose and they didn't wanna budge.

After talking with a buddy he said to just put them in for 10min, so thats what i did! i baked em for 10min, ran out in front of my garage and beat em down with the rubber mallet. I finally got all of them apart :)



Then the next day I went over to Sam's house to have some fun while he worked on Matt's Genesis.

First off, take some brake cleaner (thanks sam!) to them to clean up the dirt/grease/etc. off them

I got tired of sanding and scraping with a wirebrush so I went to the center caps and hex caps... Sanded them down and got them looking good...

O yeah, Sam took this to show how my cars sitting lol. I had to raise the car about an 1/8th from the top of the coil to fit the Fit wheels (Thanks Wayne!)

After all that was done at Sam's, Grandpa Foxx said I could come drop off the faces to be sandblasted (thanks Matt!)


His boss left a little early so he said I can blast one if I wanted, hell yeah!!!!!!

My two tires came in, haven't picked them up tho =/ As for the centers, I get them back on Saturday so I won't be able to assemble these until Monday :( (weekends are my busiest since I work both jobs, 7am-3am)


Since Foxx has the centers for sandblasting, figured I'd clean up what I have..

Onto the hardware. They weren't in the worst of condition but they still needed a little bit of love..



I took the Aircraft remover I had from yesterdays fun and put it to use again.


I used a glass bowl from Walmart, $1.50. The bowl was used to hold the aircraft remover as well as stand the bolts up. I didn't care about cleaning the parts you can't see, so I stood them up on the BBS end :)

I put them in there and let them soak for 20min. My timer was used as well as two games of COD :P

After the 20 minutes went by, I just scrubbed em down, wiped em off and then let them sit in water for little bit..

Too bad it'll be next week tho =( Not getting the faces till Sat. I work till 3am on Sat and work all day Sunday as well. Won't be able to get them assembled until Monday. Once they're together I gotta wait a day or so for them to completely dry and then put on the tire. My tire guy is only free on Monday and Wednesday so doesn't look like tires will be mounted till then :(

Anywho, time for an update :)


Well, I got all four wheels together, took about 30-35min/wheel. I'm kinda bum'd because the sealant I got dried up inside the tubing so after getting what I can get outta the tube, I only got two wheels done =/ O well....

Grandpa Foxx did a hell of a job sandblasting the wheels for me! I got them a few days after I dropped him off since I wasn't in a rush :)

Since the sandblasting came out ballerficiness status, priming was not hard at all!!

I used a total of 3 coats of primer to make sure everything was filled and even across the rim.

Then after that dried up, another 3 coats of paint went on. I didn't powdercoat them because of the lacking of funds.. I worked with what I got and I'm lovin' the outcome so far!!

After everything was dry and looking good, now onto the fun part!! =/

[b]HAVE TO]/b] use the blue threadlocker. I scooped it up from Autozone. I used one packet for all 120 bolts.

It took about 30-40 minutes per wheel but the process went nice and smooth!

After an hour-ish later... They're all assembled!!!!

Only thing left now, seal up the wheel so you don't have any leaks.. I used the Black Silicone Adhesive Sealant (also from Autozone) for the wheels. I used two of these. What I did was first round, let it sit for 24hrs, then the following day, put another layer on and let that sit for 24hrs..

As of now, the rear wheels are on their 2nd 'coat' of sealant and the front's are on their first 'coat'... Tomorrow around 530ish, the rear's should be completely dry and the front's will get their last 'coat'. Thursday I'll be doing the "test fit" picture and possibly getting tires mounted (got to see if my friends free to do them for me). I'll keep this updated as far as the progress goes :)


Last thing I have to do, I'm about 60% done with hex caps, in the process of polishing them out as well but ran out of sandpaper :(

I know that my front's will fit. When I borrowed ceejay's wheels I was pushed to a +20 but had to use my 8mm spacers to clear the caliper. So my front's are rolled for a +12 and the specs on my wheels are a +11 :)


So my worries went to the rear's fitment =/

Well I went to my buddies work last night to get tires mounted, he works at Toyota. I went towards the end of the day so nobody was really there... long story short, we stayed and fitted the wheels :)

He's a 240 owner and stance freak so I let him work his magic with the roller I borrowed from another friend since I've never touched one.. Had to roll a little more than anticipated but idc, I got to keep it with the least amount of camber and it still sit flush :) I have a lot of pics to get onto the comp but I'm going to fix the little bit of rubbage issue I have so pics will be up later today :)

I lowered the back and the clearance from the tire to frame is like 3-4mm :) So sick!!!!

I added a hint of camber in the rear. I think it's where I want it at :) I only got to drive it around for a short distance so I haven't got to test it yet lol...
