Hey all

Im after a bit of help and advice, im trying to fully understand wheels, tyres and suspension with reference to a UK Ford Capri.

I wanting to run the widest tyres i can with some stretch as well as it being lowered to achieve a modern day stance on a classic car

BUT

i do not know what size wheels i can go up to and on top of that what tyres. i don't mind cutting the arches if needs be and fitting drift arches (the originals are starting to show their age on the inside so would need to be replaced any way)

Im not expecting anyone to be able to directly tell me what to do because i can imagine you get these kinds of requests all the time and its an old UK car but if there is any advice you can offer or point me in the direction of any websites that would be great.

I will have to check but im currently running 13 x 6J (i think)

Here is a pic of the car so you can understand what im trying to achieve

ANY HELP OR RECOMMENDATIONS WOULD BE AMAZING, PLEASE ENLIGHTEN ME

Thanks Chris

I don't think the US got the Capri matey, prob best asking on a uk based forum.... :)

If you're looking to drift it I'd get on driftworks forum (if you're not already) they'll be able to help you out, with this question and any others.

Just don't mention the word "stance" unless you want flame ;)
