I recently purchased an L-Tuned exhaust (HKS Limited Ti rebranded by Lexus). To say the least, it needed someone to show it some love. The tip was bent, and the muffler was pretty ugly. I went to work with:
PC 7424 DA Buffer
Wool pad/attachment
Mother's mag and aluminum polish
Drill w/ wool buffing bit.
0000 Steel wool
Glass cleaner
MF Towels

After a wash and scrub with a tire brush, it's starting to look better, but still REALLY hazy.

After: There was one area I couldn't get to. Maybe I'll see what I can get for polishing stainless in tight areas.

Thanks! I was really happy with the outcome, but I should have painted the piping back to the b-pipe.

You can't see that part of the exhaust unless you are under the car, you are good to go IMO.

Thanks. I just got a rotary polisher to make the job easier when I polish my old exhaust before selling it.

Hey, whats up Aaron? Do you still have the IS? I didn't get any blisters, but I did further aggravate a sore tendon in my forearm--I'm getting old hahaha.

I had no idea an exhaust could still shine like that after getting grimey. Great job.

Thanks guys. It's a lot of work, but worth the results.

Thanks guys. A rotary polisher seems to be the way to go. A wool ball drill attachment works great for the tight areas, and I'm guessing a power ball would do the same. It's also a great way to boost the value of your old exhaust before you sell it.
