^^^^^how don't you rub in your front inner fenders I have 8.5 in the front and not even super lower and I rub super nasty on every turn!

it just takes experience. I'm a not a supporter of the Form>Function crap... Car has a spec'd alignment and the offsets were calculated to the alignment, not the other way around.

I see what you mean when you drift you obviously need function what kind of tire are you running because I think mine is just to tall I got 225/45/18 on a 8"

that looks to be your issue...the width of your wheel doesnt really leave you any leeway for stetching/clearance.

Just compare your sizes with mine.
225/45/18 vs 215/40/17. Not only are my side walls much shorter than yours the diameter of my wheel is also 1" less.

225/35/18 is becoming popular on drift cars...i dont know what you do with your car but maybe try that.... Regardless 8" wide wheel wont stretch much of anything
