Ill start my letting you guys and girls know I traded my dsm to my brother for the beetle. Its a 1970 standard with only 60'000 on the odometer (how cool is that!).
don't mind the phone pics, my camera was broken when I took these.

I decided to change my front fenders and took my headlight buckets out (the 185's rubbed to bad to keep them, ended up putting 125 temp tires on the front)

He doesnt look as low in these pics, but his beam is less then 2 inches off the ground on stock spindles. I'll get better pics up after I get my new headlights on (with a real camera this time, lol)

Interesting build, I know that these cars have a ton of potential, and I'm curious as to what you do with it! I wish I could fast forward the time sometimes!

I'm in the middle of building a new front end setup to bring it down more and fit the wheels I have in mind and playing with tire sizes in the back to bring it down about an inch more and hopefully rims here soon. More recent news is I got my headlights in today so I'll get some decent pics that show how low he really is. I wish I could fast forward to see how this plays out to, lol. I've always liked your charger, cant wait to see what you come up with next for it.

And a shot next to a stock super beetle (I believe that they are the same height as a standard, even though the front susp. is different.)

I found a set of rims that I think will fit my build and only for 50 bucks :dance: ! They are 12x6 +50 fronts and 12x7.5 -45 rears (yes I said 12's :shock: ) I need to get a 1 inch adapter from a VW 4x130 to a 4x111 (If my math is right :geek: ). The hub on the wheels fit over my brakes but where the faces are welded to the hubs are rubbing and the adapters cost $55 for one so if anyone else knows of a cheap place to get adapters made let me know. Im going to run a 145/75 in the front and 155/80 in the rear so tires are going to be cheap, lol. I plan on putting a new set of fenders on the back and redoing the pull and roll better then the vice grip deal I did before to fit the larger tires I had on the back (dont have any pics of them ops: ).



oh and I found a trunk for 20 bucks that I'm going to put on the roof for car shows when I get my roof rack, this is how I transport it now, lol.
