    anterrabae's 1972 Mercedes Benz 250C

First post, but usually just lurk. I bought this last year, lowered it and had plans on swapping in a modern engine. That was before my first deployment. Well, the Air Force has seen fit to send me off for most of 2012 and I do not want this car wasting away.

The good: engine (I6 non-diesel) runs strong as hell. It's carbed, so she can be a bit finicky on cold starts, when she sits for a while, which she has, body is clean minus a bit of rust on the trunk that has been painted over by some previous owner. Interior is amazing minus a rip in the drivers seat. The springs were cut to lower it, and the car still tracks straight and rides like a dream.

The bad: instrument cluster lights don't work (there's a broken wire behind the dash, like I previously stated, no time to fix it) but would include an awesome LED flash light. The gas gauge works when it wants to, so that's another electrical issue. While I was deployed last year, someone saw fit to spraypaint a pirate skull and cross bones on the drivers side and kick the muffler onto the ground which pulled the entire exhaust onto the ground. The under carriage is rusty, but I've def. seen worse on newer cars. She's been sitting for about 6 months with a few start ups by friends, but the battery is dead.

The car is located in SC. The cool part about this car (other than the car itself) is that I have all documentation since the car was bought from MB. All original owners manuals in near perfect condition and all service receipts, which will be included in the sale. Please save this car from death by sitting.

I want 3,500 but am open to reasonable offers.

    PICS!

Im new to this forum and not sure if you even still have the car but, I just bought a 72 250C and was looking to see if you could tell me what you used to lower yours. Im assuming coil overs or just lowering springs. I would like to know where to buy them as well! Thanks for your help.
