A buddy and my are looking into starting a small scale rims production company because we feel there's no real competitor for Rotiform in the JDM sportscar scene.
Everyone is rocking volks or works and we thought we'd shake things up a bit by making "affordable" cast 3piece rims to personal specs including lip color, finish and offset.
We're still in the orientation phase of the startup, visited some aluminium casting factories and had contact suppliers of BBS, OZ and Schmidt rimbarrels.
And now we'd like to get some input from you guys on what you'd like to see and willing to pay for proper rims.
At the moment we're looking at a retail price of aprox €850 per rim or €3250 a set, built to personal spec and powdercoated in any RAL color.
With pretty much every PCD, ET and J value you could want in 18" or 19".
Here's a render of the first design we've made and is pretty much production ready after passing all stress, tensile and tear simulations.
What are your thoughts on the design, pricing or any other aspect?
