looking to buy a camera

hey everyone i am looking to buy a camera. I am looking for one just to take pretty good photos for when i go to car shows, meets and to take pics of my car. I willing to spend some money but not super expensive so i would really appreciate feedback....Thanks in advance

I cant really say mutch about other brands and cameras... but the Nikon D7000 i bought couppeled with an nikkor 50mm f1.4 has been gold to me ! and its not the most expensive camera setup..

I have a Canon Rebel T2i. I picked up a zoom lens for a few hundred dollars to go with the wider angled lens that it came with. It is a great all around camera and now I believe they have a T3i. It is sort of an entry level camera with all kinds of auto settings if you don't like to fuss with manual settings. I think I've had it for maybe 2 or 3 years now. I would suggest checking it out because for around $700 you can get a great set up that will last you a long time. Let me know if you would like to see pictures I've taken with it or anything.
