    LowRolla, The Reliable Gangster.

Starting a new build thread on the car now that it's lowered and the last one went a bit crazy on another site... Anyways!

Bought the car like this, 61K miles, one owner, parked since 2005 in a garage waiting to be saved.

Lowered the car on new cut Teins and Moog springs. That sucked. Threw on a set of JDM fender mirrors from Thailand, rocked them for a while after I made USDM mirror blanking plates.

Got tired of bouncing like crazy so I bought a set of QA1 450lb coilovers off of a friend's AE86 drift car.

Rocked this for a day for shits and giggles, then gave it to a friend.

Was maxed out up front and not low enough so I did some modifications to the struts and got it another inch lower

Rears are still cut springs so I ordered a set of Swift 700lb front springs for my coilovers, and will move the 450lb QA1's to the rear on a set of Koni Adjustable sleeves I ordered from SummitRacing so I can even out the rake.

At this point Im at a loss for the direction I want to take the car. It's low, it rides nice for the most part but somethings missing. Wheels are def in the future but there again I have no idea where to go. Not doing steelies anymore. I'd like to keep the car clean and simple, but I do want it to have a distinct JDM feel.

Im torn between a Skyline Hakosuka look, shakotan/bosozuka, or trying to give the car a more late 80's toyota sports car feel with MR2 and AE86 parts. So far I've got AE86 coupe side decals and a BMW E30 wing and thats about it for styling.

These guys were a huge inspiration for me in buying this car and starting the build, but 90% of the parts they have are almost impossible to find, and I dont want to copy them. I dare say I'm actually lower then them as well since I'm not rocking massive bodykits and 17" wheels, so whichever route I take will have to incporate how low the car is, I dont want to raise it up.

The car has a lot of potential but I have no direction lol. Just throwing things at it until something sticks at this point. My RL friends constantly confuse me by telling me to either leave it clean and simple or go boso/JDM with fender flares and massive exhaust.

damn, I never thought about fender flares on this thing...I think it would be a different route to go and throw some silly wide wheels on there, but if you do it promise me you will put those fender mirrors back on

About 1/3 of the reason I joined this forum was to see how this panned out.

I'll admit, it was a rocky start, but I'm anxious to see where you take it.

Got laid off, so nothing big updated. Lowered the front another inch by swapping in shorter Hyperco springs. It's on factory strut insert housings + Tokiko inserts now. 1" from the bumpstop. Rides like ass so when I get the money for everything I will be bagging the car. I've already ordered two Universal Air Aerosport bags, and plates. Nothing else. I'll post another update when I'm actually installing them. For now this is how the car sits.

No fault of anyone here but I'm slowly loosing faith in the stance community due to a lot of pretentious assholes who can't appreciate a clean 92 Corolla for what it is. A lot of my 86' friends into drifting have got me more interested in doing motor work to it as of late.

i say go the VIP japan route. i'm a big fan of radiused fenders with wide negative offset wheels, stretched tires and oni camber. i would love to see that look on a none big bodied sedan.

    just a suggestion

The thought to put on some wide 17's with a Fusa knot on the window and rear curtains has crossed my mind, but I don't think people would take it seriously on a Corolla. Anyways wont be for a while until I get another job. Going to piece together the bag system first.

I found a terrible night time picture from the last meet I went to as well.

I want to lay the front bumper on the ground without a lip.

Playing around in photoshop. Trying to get a direction for the car. This is about 1" more drop, spacers, camber plates, a legit front lip and a JDM LE chrome grill. I think it looks sexy as hell.
