205/40 on 16x9 for daily use??

Im looking to go 16x9 on my civic with 205/40 tires. I know alot of ppl have done 205/40 on x9s but is it safe on a daily basis?? I'd just like to get some input from ppl that run this setup. I know how to drive a slammed car but iv never had such a stretched tire and I'm worried about blowouts?!

I'm running 205/40 falken 512s on my 16x9, haven't had any problems so far.

I have 215/45 on 17x9's on my 92 s13 vert, probably not as a big stretch as your exampled of 205/40 on 16's, but my wheels get driven 60 miles everyday, so far so good-chad240sx
