So, I just got my front springs adjusted to where I want them for a nice preload and find this site. Now I am looking at my car going," dammit...its really not as low as I wanted."
Then I got to thinking how concerned I was with the proximity of the coilover sleeve to the CVjoints on my front axles. I MAYBE have another 1/2" until they rub the CV's. 1/2" would get me really close to tucked up front though.....
The rears are a different animal. I'll have to play some more with the spring-preload because the car rubs on nasty bumps when the back is loaded with small humans. And again, its still not low enough.
My thought at this point is that more camber will help with rubbing. (GST Motorsports is getting me some Cusco plates as this is written. Currently its just crappy camber bolts back there.)
The thought of switching coilovers has crossed my mind but these 02E's have the Econ dampening control and I've wired it all into the center console. I'd HATE to remove it.
Any of you Subie guys wanna pipe in? Be my guest.![]()
