Every once in a while, something really special comes along. 5&ADIME’s Third Annual Motor Union, hosted at the Green Flash Brewery, was six months in the making and it certainly lived up to the hype. I’ve attended many car shows this year and to be honest, while they were everything I expected, there was always something still missing from these shows. I can’t exactly put my finger on it, but I can definitely tell you that the 5&ADIME family figured it out. This year, they decided to have it at the Green Flash Brewery in Mira Mesa. It was the perfect location to have an event of this size. Staging for all the showcars went by smoothly and the generous goodies bag pretty much gave you your money’s worth for the $40 showcar registration fee including an exclusive Motor Union event tee, license plate frame, Motor Union pint glass and bumper sticker. Despite the San Diego sun beating down on everyone for most of the day, the crowd was generally in a good mood and the event turned into one giant party.

This event had everything. It had beer. It had food. It had awesome raffles. It had some of Socal’s finest automobiles. A culmination of JDM, Euro, VIP, Hellaflush, Rat Rods, Old School, Exotics, whatever you’re into, Motor Union has it. Vendors such as Dude Blvd, Autofashion, Style Over Comfort, Stanceworks, Canibeat, HRE Wheels, 9Five, Zarlitos, Us Versus Them, 2M Autowerkes, Product Etc and Bolt Complex made an appearance.

You KNOW an event will be one to remember when they have their own in-house bathrooms! But just something about the location that seemed to really pull everything together. Maybe it was the delicious cheap beer? Perhaps the $2 tacos from the Zarlito’s booth? Or was it the free admission to the public? Whatever the case may be, The Motor Union is here to stay and I am definitely looking forward to next year’s event. The Motor Union has definitely set a new standard this year and will soon be competing with some of the big boy shows out there. Much props to the 5&ADIME family and the staff that helped put the event together. Don’t forget to give them a like on Facebook! The day started off early in the morning, meeting up with a few local friends so that we could roll in together for staging. The venue was a bit small for the amount of cars that showed, but the 5&ADIME staff staged everyone like champs.

Some awesome rides came out!

Congrats to Jon Jon from SquadONE for taking home the Best Of Show trophy. Wish your car was in better lighting conditions when I shot it.
