    Mv350's GS300 VIP Build

Whats happening everyone. I dont think i have let everyone here know that i am no longer rocking my IS350. I mainly decided i didnt want a car payment or pay 4k a year for insurance. So in august i sold her after i got it back from the body shop after ripping my exhaust and rear bumper off and fix my fenders that got creased. So i was going to pick up a boosted IS300 but that fell through. I searched all night and the next morning (I work graveyards). I found a 1999 GS300 with only 47k miles and in prestine condition at a nearby lexus dealer. With the cash that i got from my IS i put down on this and now i am going to start my build. And as always, for a true VIP build, the stance and fitment is what makes or breaks a car. The rest is just decoration.

    Old Whip

    New Platform, New style

I did not want to roll on 16" chromes with gold emblems at all, so i am currently borrowing some g35 rays from a friend. i am currently working on ride height and suspension mods. i still have to pick up RCA's for the front and upper control arms. i also need to redo the entire rear end so i can get the camber settings i plan on running. i do know that a true VIP car would be on air. but im still debating on going air. i wanna run 6" lips in the rear and that is going to take extensive body work. if i cant get it to work ill go air. but until then im going to just run coils.

    Build to date
    Megan Lp Series Coils
    G35 Rays 19" OEM wheels
    JDM Window Visors
    Kenwood DD
    JDM DD Dash install kit
    JL W6v2 12"
    Rockford Fosgate P400-1
5% Tint all around (except windshield)
    White tsuna
    Blacked out Grill
    BP "L" rear emblem

a "true vip" car does not need to be on air, in fact 90% of the vip cars you see in japan are on coilovers..however, this is not to say that that's what makes a true vip car either...just go for the suspension that works for you without chasing that "vip" label. as for the 6" lips, a lot of people these days, especially with VIP styling taking off, are just building cars trying to go for the biggest lip possible. id have to argue, though, that lip isnt everything. id first just find a wheel that you like and that suits the build, some wheels offer larger lips than others, even with the same offsets. gl with the build, the IS was a beauty, especially in that more rare red color.

i think coilovers is wayyyy more gangsterr.... but its pretty nice to be on air tho hahahahaha even tho im on coils too it just sucks when gs r slammed cuz the upper control arm smacks the strut tower.

just cut a hole where your upper ball joint hits the fender well. and it wont happen anymore.

in the US yes, but not on the VIP cars in Japan. Again, im not trying to tell you which suspension is better, just dont think that having air gives you more "vip cred" cus in fact, the scene that americans are trying to imitate, is 90% ran on coils. cheers!
