Take a good look at this beautiful 2003 20th Anniversary Volkswagen GTI. It’s number 3771 to be exact. I spent weeks trying to track down Stefan Djuric as I spotted him almost every other day cruising around town. It wasn’t until he came into my job that I was able to speak with him and set up a nice photoshoot to feature this neck-breaker.

Sitting Right:
Rota Grids: 18×9.5 all around
et20 front/et 15 rear
Custom 18mm front/23mm rear adapters.

This cars presence on the street is so tough, it demands respect everywhere it goes. Sitting static on gold 18×9.5 Rota Grid’s, with the right poke and stretch, it’s obvious why.

The color combo of this VW just screams Subaru, but nope, it’s definitely a Volkswagen!

continued…
Muteki blue lugnuts
Nankang NS-II: 215/35/18 all around
FK Silverline Plus X Coilovers: Set to full stiff

Looking Good:
Shaved: Hatch, hood, bumper notches, rubstrips
Helix Headlights
OEM Euro Ocean Taillights

Not only is it the stunning clean simplicity this car has that catches peoples attention, it’s definitely the sound! Stefans car is equipped with a 42 Draft Design’s 3 inch, catless, straight pipe exhaust. A HKS SSQV chirps off between every shift, a GIAC X & chip really help bring out the motors potential, along with a turbo inlet pipe by Forge. This car sounds straight beastly. Oh, and it also has a n2mb WOT box equipped with no-lift-shift and 2-Step control. You would swear this thing is a Subaru!

Stefan’s car is easily one of my favorite Volkswagens, and within good reason. His setup is ridiculously clean yet it draws so much attention. When we were shooting, I just kept snapping off pictures just because I feel like I couldn’t capture the epic scene this car creates. Stefan was telling me about how he gets a lot of negative feedback within the Volkswagen community for his current setup, but he dares to be different and it goes to show what breaking the mold can do for you. Oh, and my favorite part is the ” 😀 ” emoticon covering the Rota center caps. Did ya notice that?
