As much as certain people call this “aggressive wheel fitment” movement just a phase, we’re here to prove them wrong. Not only have we seen it step into the domestic muscle world (including my own Charger), but imports (such as Cathleen’s EVO) who are pushing close to 400HP are also a part of this ever growing movement. Don’t get us wrong, we are aware that people have been stretching tires and riding millimeters off the ground for decades, but just recently has it gone mainstream thanks to the incredible powers of Internet. EVO’s are honestly one of my personal favorite cars and seeing one as aggressive (form & function) as this one really puts a huge smile on my face. Let’s take a closer look at this thing, what do you say? Please allow us to introduce you to Cathleen and her EVO.

First thing that stands out on this EVO are those incredibly aggressive wheels. For the minority of you who are unfamiliar with them, you’re looking at CCW LM20’s! Just how aggressive are they though? How does 10.5 inches all around with 16 & 22 offset sound? In order to fit them though, Cathleen had to go a little bit crazy on the stretch so a set of Yokohama S Drive’s in 225/35/18 were mounted on. The result is just insane, we absolutely love it! Check out these pictures below!

We almost forget to tell you that this thing is sitting static on Megan Racing Coilovers. The 2 rings from the front coils were also removed for that extra half an inch or so! You know that saying; “it’s never low enough!”, right? Make sure you click the Read More button below to find out more about that huge intercooler you’ve probably noticed, as well as some more pictures!

Other than the wheels,Cathleen left the exterior literally untouched. Only thing she felt the car needed was some work in the back so she swapped the older tail lights with a set of JDM ones. We don’t blame him for leaving it the way it is though, those wide fenders and all the aggressive creases that EVO is rocking is more than enough to get your attention. We aren’t the only ones that feel this way, are we?

While the list of mods under the hood stretches forever, we made sure to include it on the very bottom of this feature. What it basically comes down to is that Cathleen hasn’t had much luck with the car since purchasing it. Apparently the car dealer sold the car with almost no tranny fluid and ended up costing over $3,000 in repairs! Thankfully Cathleen was “mechanically inclined” to cover most of the labor himself, but it still left a big hole in his pocket as you can imagine. After finding out how much the dealership charges for a new transmission, she started searching around for a cheaper route. The search came to an end at AWD Motorsports, with rebuilt shepard transmission.

Just a few months later, Cathleen was searching around the craigslist when she came across a low mileage EVO9 MR MIVEC long block, harness and ECU. After what happened to the transmission she no longer trusted any of the drivetrain reliability of the original parts so she picked up the swap! Today, she is pushing just a couple horses short of 400HP and looking good doing it.

We would like to give a big shout out to Cathleen as well as Justin for hooking us up with the shots and making things happen so fast. Big shout out goes to Mike at AWD from Cathleen! Well, another night, another feature, we’re truly honored to be able to share such incredible rides with all of you. Make sure you hit us up if your ride has what it takes to be on Stance:Nation! We’re always looking for new stuff!
